The players listed below stood out and made a great impact for their team. These players made the 16U All-Tournament Third Team and were a big part of the success of their team.
E’Marie Lewis | 5-4 / PG | Burleson HS | Team Stay Ready 2024
E’Marie is a player that is crafty with the ball, controls the tempo of the game and will make the big play when her team needs it. She can shoot the ball pretty good, and is a great passer. Her handles make her a player that can’t be denied. If you try and pressure her, you will need back-up because she is too shifty and will break your ankles. So, most teams stayed back and was at her mercy. Defensively she is a problem because her on-ball pressure makes the other team cough the ball up. She plays the passing lane and her help-side rotation is good. She is fun to watch and I look forward to seeing her on the court again.
Nicole Aguirre | 5-5 / G | Rockwall HS | DC Queens Black 2024
Nicole is a player that impacts the game when she is on the court. If the ball is near her, she is going to make a play on either side of the ball. She has an “At the Office” attitude on the court because she plays like it’s business as usual. She scores at all levels: She can catch and shoot behind the 3-point line, shot-fake pull up in the mid-range, and my favorite is her one-legged floater in the lane. She is active on defense and plays the passing lane pretty well. Nicole is a high-IQ player that plays to win.
Mataya Hall Mataya Hall 5'9" | CG Tulsa Memorial | 2025 State OK | 5-8 / CG | Sapulpa HS | OK Swift 2024 Mathurin | 2025
Mataya is a Hustle Machine. She talks on defense, plays with active hands, and is a great on ball defender. She is a strong player that can play all positions. She can handle the ball, shoot the mid-range and has the capacity to lead the team in rebounding. I like the way Mataya plays strong and attacks the basket. She will finish through contact and will be in the right place at the right time to make a play on both ends. Mataya is a player coaches love because she never stops working – her value comes from her intensity which is rare.
Hallie Kitchen Hallie Kitchen 5'7" | CG Lincoln Christian | 2024 State OK | 5-8 / CG | Lincoln Christian School | OK Utmost 2024
Hallie is about the “winning at all cost” life. She will give you everything she has just to get the dub. Her defense is what drew me into her because she is active and gives a lot of effort. But she can handle the ball and get downhill, is a good decision-maker, and is a dependable shooter behind the 3-point line. Hallie is also an underrated passer and play-maker but I enjoy watching her shoot the basketball.
Vanessa Coleman Vanessa Coleman 5'10" | SF Tulsa Union | 2025 State OK | 5-9 / CG | Union HS | EYG 2024
Vanessa is a player who has been building her confidence the last few months and it shows on the court. She is coming into her own handling the ball, due to her creativity. She is crossing up defenders and driving to the basket with ease. She gets all the way to the bucket and finishes well. Her shooting continues to improve and when she is driving and shooting, she will be a tough guard. I said her stock will rise by the end of the summer and I stand by it – she is like that.
