Madison Thomas Madison Thomas 5'6" Erie | 2022 CO -5’6 PG (Erie HS) Colorado Sparks 2023 [2022]
Thomas made an Honorable Mention from an earlier event yet it wouldn’t be honorable if I didn’t mention her now because she has a way of finding ways to help get points for her squad. Nice court vision starts it off, she’s unselfish and her passes are crisp and on the money yet she also understands how to create her shot under pressure and showed she could drop both the mid and long-range jumper yet she also did a good job dropping the “catch and shoot”
Fiona Snashall-6’1 PF (Holy Family HS) BC Denver 2023
Snashall is long, athletic, and understands how to get her shot off because she scores well off the dribble, her first step is somewhat deceptive yet she attacks from multiple angles but creating her shot doesn’t stop there as her pull-up jumper was not only smooth yet also efficient as she dropped the midrange with ease, yes that includes “with a hand in her face” but let me not omit she crashes the boards, on both ends and does a good job defensively
Galatia Andrew-5’4 PG (Springdae Harber HS) Arkansas Athletes Outreach Flight 2023
Andrew left me speechless because she’s heady, controls the tempo and even more importantly, she is vocal and does a very good job directing her teammates. A college coach even asked jokingly, why do you keep taking her picture, I’m recruiting her and I get it, her stop and start in the open court can leave defenders cemented to the floor but she also showed the “turbo” and just blows by whoever was guarding her. The HEZ is very efficient, some call it the HEZZIE yet her hesitation JUST DID IT for me as she scored both off the dribble as well as mid to very long-range but her court vision was among the best all weekend
Ella Lavigne-5’8 PF (Fossil Ridge HS) State 38 Black 2023 [2024]
Lavigne is long and athletic, which helps enable her to rebound over taller players, positioning also helps yet she understands how to do something and that’s “get hers in the flow” and I enjoy players that “play within themselves” by not forcing anything, both apply to her yet she does a good job setting the defender up to attack and finish, even did it “after the lick” but she also showed she could face the basket and score from midrange
SaMiyah Ellis SaMiyah Ellis 5'8" | PG Wichita Heights | 2025 State KS -5’8 PG (Sunrise Christian Academy) Kansas Bluejays 2023 [2025]
Ellis was one of the most explosive players at the event, let me go a little deeper, she’s one of the most explosive freshmen I have seen this season, and her ability to handle the ball going full speed, SWB, speed with the ball, and see the floor while throwing darts off the dribble had me going, however, her acrobatic finishes after contact kept going. She just goes hard, runs the floor on both ends, on the ball defense is smothering, and creates turnovers yet she also can score from outside with ease but her upside is very scary
