Jaycie Cook-Arkansas Select 2024, 5’6” SG, Cabot HS-Jaycie can play any of the guard positions. She’s strong to the basket going right or left and is a hard-nosed defensive player. Her basketball IQ is amazing and her anticipation skills are off-the-chart. She can hit the three or pass off to an open teammate. Jaycie is a solid all-around performer that will lead Cabot High School to a deep run next school year.
Jenna Cook Jenna Cook 5'6" | PG Cabot | 2024 State AR -Arkansas Select 2024, 5’6” PG, Cabot HS-Jenna is a mirror image of Jaycie. It’s double trouble for this tandem. Jenna is more the point guard. Another high IQ player with remarkable peripheral vision. She can anticipate the defense that always creates high percentage opportunities for her teammates. She leads her team in assists and is among the top in steals as well. Look out for this duo to create havoc in the fall.
AbbiGrace Cunningham AbbiGrace Cunningham 6'1" | C Atkins | 2024 State AR -Arkansas Select 2024, 6’1” PF, Atkins HS-Abbi can probably play any position on the court. She’s best at facing the basket on the wing or posting up high so that she can use her strength in space to attack the basket. She can hit the three ball and is very effective in creating her shot down low. Abbi should repeat as an All-State performer next high school season.
Olivia Dean-Arkansas Fastdogs, 5’6” SG, Nashville HS-Olivia is an excellent catch-and-shoot player. Specifically from the three-point range. She moves very well without the ball. She anticipates very well and is usually out in front on the fast break. She’s a very good free-throw shooter, but her strength is the three-ball. She’ll be a great piece to an already good Nashville High School squad.
Marleigh Sellers-Arkansas Mavericks-Sellers, 5’6” PG, Salem HS-Marleigh can play all of the guard positions but is most effective at the point. She gets touches on every possession. Her court vision is excellent and she can find the open player. Marleigh is an excellent free throw shooter and her defensive rebounding is exceptional. Look for her to display an All-District performance at Salem High School next year.
Carley Sexton-Arkansas Fastdogs, 5’6” SG, Greenwood HS-All I can say about Carley is she’s one of the smartest players on the court. Her leadership skills are very obvious. She can rebound, she doesn’t turn it over, and she can make the play when it needs to be made. Carley is an excellent free-throw shooter and her basketball IQ is extremely high. Greenwood High School has a good one.
Brooklyn Wolsey-Arkansas Fastdogs, 5’7” SG, Greenwood HS-Brooklyn has excellent court awareness. She can get out on the break and make good decisions in transition. She is an excellent free throw shooter and is most effective scoring inside the three-point line. Brooklyn can handle the rock with both hands efficiently at a low turnover rate. She will play an important part to help defend Greenwood’s 2022 State Championship.
That concludes the 2024 standouts. Next up, the youngest standouts in the 2022 edition of the Main Event.
