Jordan Marshall Jordan Marshall 5'11" | SF Central | 2024 State AR | Wing/Forward | AR Mavs Elite 2024 | 2024
I’ve seen Jordan grow and evolve her game over the last 2 years. When she entered high school she was mainly an athlete that would be her defender downhill by putting her head down and getting to the rim. With her development she is now more polished with her footwork, handles, IQ, and understanding of the game, defense, passing, and shooting. She’s shaping into a really nice wing player that stands around 6ft. She plays multiple positions and is a threat from anywhere on the floor.
Samyah Jordan | Point Guard | AR Mavs 2025 | 2025
I’ve known Samyah since the 4th grade. You will not find too many players that has her work ethic and determination. She just continues to improve in every area of her game. She’s a high IQ point guard that loves to get her teammates involved. This willing passer can deliver a variety of passes against the defense with either hand in the open court, off the pick and roll, while being pressured, or in traffic. She’s a respectable shooter from the three-point line, but is deadly from the mid-range and can finish in a number of ways around the rim. But one of her best attributes is her on-ball defense. She pressures well and can be physical without fouling.
Emerie Bohanon | Guard | AR Mavs 2025 | 2025
Emerie is another player I’ve known since elementary school. Whenever she steps on the floor she will be one of the better athletes. She excels in the open court and can really run the floor well with her speed and quickness. In the half-court, she’s more of a straight-line driver that goes strong to the basket. Over the last year or so she has spent a lot of time improving her three-point shot. She made four 3-pointers vs a very tough BTR team at the Main Event.
Savannah Scott Savannah Scott 6'4" | C Conway | 2023 State AR | Post | AR Mavs 2023 | 2023
Savannah is one of the top 5 players in the state for her class in Arkansas. Standing around 6’4 she has the size and ability to dominate around the basket whenever she chooses to. She has a nice touch around the rim with soft hands that allow her to catch passes in traffic. She can score with her back to the basket by getting to the middle of the paint for the baby hook or drop stepping. Savannah was an aggressive rebounder on the offensive end. She used her height and size to get position and score the easy putback. Defensively she showed some versatility by guarding some wing players on the perimeter. She had quick enough speed and length to not allow the offense to blow right by her for the easy finish.
April Edwards April Edwards 5'9" | CG North Little Rock | 2023 State AR | Point Guard | AR Mavs 2023 | 2023
April is an athletic guard that had a solid weekend of running the team. During the game, I saw she was poised, under control, and ran things smoothly for her team. She displayed good vision in transition. She knew when to give the ball up, who to give it up to, and delivered passes that were on target and that led to a teammate being able to be successful. April played well on the defensive end like she always do. She applies good on-ball pressure and makes the opposing team’s point guard have to work.
Brilynn Findley Brilynn Findley 5'7" | PG Bryant | 2024 State AR | Guard | AR Mavs 2024 | 2024
Get a hand up! Stay close! Who got the shooter? Those are some of the things you hear in a gym when a player is on the floor that can make shots. Brilynn’s role with her Mavs team is to make shots. Every time I see her play she makes shots. She’s a good shooter that forces the defense to stay attached. Her ability to make shots from the three-point line it stretches the defense. This opens up other areas of her game that are then put on display. She can get to the rim when attacking close-outs, get teammates involved with her passing, and plays solid on-ball defense.
Taleigha Ealy Taleigha Ealy 6'0" | C Russellville | 2024 State AR | Post/Forward | AR Mavs 2024 | 2024
Taleigha is a player that is going to play hard every possession on both ends of the floor. She runs the floor hard and gives great energy and effort on offense and defense. She rebounds well on the offensive end and can score the putback with ease. Taleigha posts up strong and can score with her back to the basket and she’s effective out of the high post. She possesses some perimeter skills that allow her to attack off the dribble in a straight line, get to the rim and finish.
