Another Prep Girls Hoops Circuit event is in the books with the conclusion of Southeast Slam from Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Florida.

The southeast-based Triumph Region has only three events remaining – with two of them occurring this month. This past weekend’s get-together welcomed teams from not only the home state of Florida, but also teams from Georgia, South Carolina and even Illinois.

With this year’s Southeast Slam now in the rear-view mirror, it is time to determine all-tournament teams from this past weekend. With so much competitive basketball that took place at the home of the Buccaneers, it was tough to narrow our lists down. Here are our selections for the First Team from Florida.
[caption id="attachment_429588" align="alignnone" width="300"] Photo: Prep Girls Hoops[/caption]
Caroline Wagner – 2025 – Cherokee HS – Georgia Flames 2025 – Wagner’s team finished Southeast Slam a perfect 4-0 and the team won all four of its matchups in commanding fashion. Wagner got things started on Saturday in emphatic fashion when she scored 16 points in a win over FGC Miracle Aqua 2025. Wagner is a 6-foot-1 big that is very difficult for opposing defenses and opposing coaches to figure out. In addition to what she does as a scorer, her prowess in the paint also includes the ability to haul in rebounds as well as find spacing in the interior to make a number of plays.
[caption id="attachment_429589" align="alignnone" width="300"] Photo: Prep Girls Hoops[/caption]
Ellison Steinhauer – 2026 – Pickens MS – Georgia Flames 2025 – Steinhauer proved throughout the weekend exactly why she is playing up a year in class. She was another key reason why Georgia Flames 2025 managed to run the table for Southeast Slam. Defensively, she will make things hard for any opposing ball carrier and her defensive activity translates to her being a potent ball hawk. Steinhauer will put crooked numbers on the scoreboard and is one who plays a rule of a pure one or a two. In her team’s lopsided victory over FGC Miracle Aqua 2025 on Saturday, she finished with 13 points.
[caption id="attachment_429830" align="alignnone" width="300"] Photo: Prep Girls Hoops[/caption]
Tyshanna Leverette – 2026 – Ridgeland-Hardeeville HS – H2 Lowco 2026 – The South Carolina-based H2 Lowco 2026 team was one of the top 14U squads in attendance at Daytona Beach and Leverette was part of the nucleus for Robert Benson’s AAU team that led the charge. She is one of five wings on the team and can get from one end of the floor to the other with the ball in her hand. She has versatility as a shooter as she can hit her attempts from either midrange or from behind the 3-point arc. Leverette delivers all-around hustle and will track down ball handlers in transition in efforts to stop an easy layup. She had 10 points in a win over Illinois Dream 2026.

Brooke Katzman – 2026 – Hickory Creek MS – Illinois Dream 2025 – Katzman’s team was another of the assemblings that finished Southeast Slam with a perfect 4-0 mark. She was one of the more accurate 3-point shooters of anyone in any class this past weekend at Daytona Beach. A 5-foot-5 backcourt stalwart, she can also make things happen from the free throw line. Katzman also possesses a high basketball IQ, an ability to put plenty of points on the board and a knack for keeping herself out of foul trouble. In addition, she will make accurate passes either in the halfcourt or in the game and stays active even when she does not have the ball in her hands.
[caption id="attachment_430101" align="alignnone" width="300"] Photo: Prep Girls Hoops[/caption]
Stephanie Vega – 2026 – Somerset Silver Palms – Miami Impact 2025 – Vega’s team was another of the squads that played four games and won all four at Southeast Slam. She runs the floor well and can get from one end to the other. She is playing up one year in class. If she has the ball in her hands behind the 3-point line, Vega is likely to come through from deep. Defensively, she not only is a ball hawk but can reject shots. In one of the final matchups of the weekend tournament, she tallied 16 points in a 47-42 victory over Blue Heat 2026.
