There are several really nice power forward and post prospects in Indiana’s 2022 class, a few for each level of college basketball, as well as several under-the-radar kids who should shine at the collegiate level. Our Top-250 is currently home to 63 power forwards and 24 centers, making up 34.8% of all 2022 prospects ranked in Indiana. There are true, back-to-the-basket posts, defensive presences, athletes, plus wing and mid-post scoring threats. Below is a look at those 87 prospects, as well as some added information and analysis on a handful of girls who have stood out since our last rankings update in January.

, 2022, 6-2 C, Columbus East H.S.
– Due to roster turnover and significant improvement, Harley really emerged in 2021-2022 for the Olympians, averaging 7.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.0 blocked shots per game in a reserve role. She has a solid to strong frame with really nice length, and she plays with a nice motor. While she does most of her work around the block, she did knock down four 3-pointers (4-12) and shot 64% from the free throw line. She is also a top performer on the Columbus East golf team.

, 2022, 5-10 PF, Valparaiso H.S.
– I remember watching Bo when she was an incoming Freshman, she was about 5-8, and she was a somewhat raw athlete who could run and jump with the best of them. This season she came full-circle, and she was instrumental in Valparaiso’s nice year. She played at the top of their 1-3-1 extended defense, created havoc, and caused several turnovers. Offensively, she was much more consistent in the mid-post, averaging 8.6 points per game. She also shot a career-high 67% from the free throw line.

– Taylor will be a tremendous fit at Lipscomb University next season, because she combines a strong, powerful frame with skill, a little finesse, but also deceptive athleticism. She is one of the best “second” jumpers in this class, and she out-rebounds opponents because of it. She can handle the ball a little in transition, even initiate the offense, she has touch to the 3-point line, plus she’s a really nice passer, whether she’s out top or posting on the block. Her inside-out potential is unparalleled by most.

Cathedral | 2022
State
IN
, 2022, 5-11 PF/SF, Cathedral H.S.
– Katie put together a strong Spring & Summer season in 2021, then followed that up with a nice Senior year as well. She is a long, wiry-strong, and bouncy athlete who moves well in all directions, she can play in the mid-post or around the perimeter effectively, and she shot it at 35% from 3-point range and 72% from the charity stripe. Her versatility and athleticism have helped her fulfill a variety of roles, both offensively and defensively, and her skill only continues to improve year to year.

Salem | 2022
State

, 2022, 5-11 PF/C, Salem H.S.
– Kaylea is a nice, long, wiry-strong, and fairly mobile front-liner who got better and better each season. She stepped into a much more impactful role this past Winter, as she was one of the keys to Salem’s success. I feel like she’s one of those kids who is on an upward trajectory and will only be better at the next level with continued coaching. She is headed to Hanover College, and while it might take her a little time to get into the rotation, she could be a big help to them down the road.
