SubscribeCheck out my scouting reports and analysis on some of the top performers at the first day of the Prep Girls Hoops Dynasty Classic in Houston, Texas this weekend! Look for these ladies to keep their stocks moving up as we dive deeper into the live period!
Marckalia Celestine 2025 6’0 Klein High School, TX (Just Play Elite 2025)
Marckalia was one of the best forward prospects in attendance within the 15U division. Her ability to play on the perimeter and move her feet really stood out, as she paired it with elite rim protection and high level glass cleaning. She routinely sent shots into the stands with emphatic blocks down low. She actively searches for someone to box out as soon as a shot goes up, which allows her to high point the ball and make the right outlet pass. Her size harassed ball handlers on the perimeter, and it allowed her to dominate on the interior with simple moves with her back to the basket. I would like to see her work on her handle, and her overall confidence with a live dribble, especially as she works to get downhill out of the triple threat or the wing positions on the floor.
Aliyah Idusuyi 2025 6’1 Dickinson High School, TX (Houston Queens Elite 2025 Yellow)
Aliyah is an aggressive forward who dominates her competition underneath the basket. She displayed good strength with her back to the basket and routinely backed her opponent into deep position in the paint and simply bunny hooked them to death. She has good offensive awareness and sealed off her opponent at the right time to receive an entry pass and quickly spin and finish at the rim. On the defensive end, she came up with emphatic blocks in the paint time and time again. There were a few instances where she swung her arms down instead of using her size and staying vertical, which is something that will work itself out with time. I would also like to see her work on staying aware when running back in transition.
Brittany Anderson 2026 5’5 Legacy SSS, TX (Just Play Elite 2025)
Brittany is a high level combo guard who specializes on both ends of the floor, and uses her quickness to dominate her competition. She has lightning quick hands which allow her to run in transition and finish on the break. I was very impressed with her intense on ball defense, she routinely picked her opponent’s pocket and used her speed to beat everyone down the court and finish coast to coast. She is great at using her athleticism to her advantage on the court whenever she can, she hustled for loose balls and long rebounds which allowed her team to dominate on the fast break the entire day!
Krysten Carter 2025 5’5 Westside High School, TX (Just Play Elite 2025)
Krysten is an energetic combo guard whose motor seems to never stop on either end of the floor. She is always one of the first players down the court, and loves leaking out on the break to be an open pass while her teammates get downhill. I loved the energy she displayed on the defensive end of the floor, she ran from sideline to sideline chasing cross court passes and always had her hands up and moving harassing the ball handlers. I was very impressed with her aggressiveness and overall play on the defensive end of the floor.
