Kennedy Smith 2024 5’10 Dawson High School, TX (Houston Queens Elite 2024 Purple)
Kennedy is an aggressive player on both ends of the floor who really stood out due to her constant motor and willingness to fight on the interior. I loved watching her compete on the defensive end of the floor where her tenacity and motor really stood out. Her aggressiveness will bring her far in this game, based on how she competes and is unafraid of the competition standing in front of her. It did not matter if it was a skilled wing, or a forward she was up for the challenge on the defensive end. She moved her feet at a high level and worked hard on defending the rim and the interior of her team’s defense.
Mattie Dollar 2025 5’8 Anson High School, TX (Texas Platinum 2024 Bruce)
Mattie is a sharp shooting guard who has the ability to catch fire at any given point in time on the game. She calmly knocks down shots from all around the arc, even with a defender coming out to contest. I was very impressed with her maturity with the ball in her hands, no player coming at her really affected her as she rose up to shoot. She always stays ready and has a very quick release to punish the defense for late coverage on the perimeter. I was very impressed with the speed in which she was able to consistently get her shot off coming off of swing passes or kickout drives.
She operated really well on the corners and has all the tools to become an effective guard at the next level. I loved watching her pass the ball as well, she made timely passes to cutting and slipping teammates and her passes always seemed to be put in the right spot. Where she truly makes her mark however is her confidence in getting her shot off with a live dribble. I was very impressed with her shot making ability off the dribble at all three levels of the floor.
Sariah Fuentes 2025 5’6 Klein Cain High School, TX (Houston Lady Nets 2024)
Sariah is a high level guard who thrives at all three levels of the floor. She is a good shooter from beyond the arc, especially off the dribble. It was fun watching her manipulate the defense with her eyes while calmly hitting shots in the midrange and from the three point line. She played well and got her teammates involved well, displaying some high level passes in the half court to find cutting teammates. I was very impressed for her ability to play big for her size and position on both ends of the floor. She is able to play with her back to the basket, and score in the paint from her work on the offensive glass. I was very impressed with her work on the defensive end of the floor, she had multiple chase down blocks on the fast break. She is a good help defender on the weak side, who knows the right time to come over to cut off her opponents options.
Brooklyn Hurtado 2024 6’0 Cisco High School, TX (Texas Platinum 2024 Bruce)
Brooklyn is a strong forward with a bunch of high level moves in her bag in the post. She bullied her defenders deep into the paint and simply turned around and shot over them. She displayed some tough spin moves with her back to the basket as well. She is a consistent finisher with her back to the basket who is good at using her size to finish over and through defenders and contact. She is good on the offensive glass, she sealed her opponents from ever having a chance of jumping with her and making a play on the ball.
I was very impressed with her ability to play big on both ends of the floor. She protected the rim and used her size to make her opponents uncomfortable for even stepping foot in the lane. She always slid over at the right time to turn away shots or simply make the opponent second guess her decision to go up with it.
