Coming up will be my all-tournament team, along with my All-Gold Bracket team. So many good players to end the spring season with Prep Girls Hoops!
Gabriella Moore Gabriella Moore 5'6" | PG Mayfield | 2024 OH , Team Evolution United 2024
She caught my attention on Saturday with her strong, physical play who has the ability to score through contact, and get to the line. Love her hard-nosed attitude and work ethic on the court. Active and able to create for her team. The junior from Mayfield Heights has good potential in front of her. (feature photo above)
Tiyah Parker, Dayton Vipers Elite 2025
Hard-nosed defender who is able to turn her opponent and force action from their weak hand. Good handles and can find the open person for a better shot. Coaches kid, smart basketball IQ, able to create for her team and herself. Loves to play fast, athletic enough to be effective in that style. Keeps getting better. (pictured left)
Olivia Orr, Dayton Vipers Elite 2025
Was impressed with her also on Saturday as her game has improved from the last time I saw her play. She is also a strong, physical kid who does an excellent job rebounding and uses her body well. Did a good job sharing the ball and got her teammates involved. Able to get to the rim and finish.
Mekiayah Flinn, Central IL Express 2023
Showed some good things when I was on her court late Saturday, as she was able to hit the floater and had active hands on defense. Able to get deflections and push transition on the turnover, put good pressure on the ball defensively. Not afraid to let it fly.
Jasmine Splashers, TML Splashers 2023
It was the first time I got to see them play this spring, and they have a nice squad of hard working young ladies. Jasmine is a player who can play physical and showed good moves in the paint and around the rim. Good handles from the point guard spot, explosive speed at times and can push transition.
Ashley Bowden, Dayton Vipers 2025
This kid works so hard at getting to the loose balls, on the floor and in a scrum. Small in stature, not afraid to mix it up. Steps up at the right time, hit a huge three in the bracket play to get their team into the finals. Active hands on defense, good speed and has a good court sense. Seems to be in the right place at the right time. (pictured left).
