Emma McCarthy-5’7 G (Austin Bowie HS) Fierce [2023]
McCarthy is one of those players that can take over a game on both ends, first of all, she’s explosive off the dribble and her powerful finishes, yes after contact is part of it. She creates her shot nicely under pressure and can drop the mid to long-range yet her baseline to baseline pressure on defense can be “smothering” at times and that too forces turnovers that lead to baskets going the other way
Kayla Dickey-5’6 PG (Madisonville) D1 Solid [2023]
Dickey caught my eye a few years ago with her Lady Thunder club team and the most impressive thing that first grabbed me was her SWB, speed with the ball, and her being under control going coast under control to attack and or dish, or drop the “stop and pop” all made noise for me to hear. The volume continues to be turned up as she understands how to run a team and control the tempo but the added “vocalness” on the court is yet another plus. Factor in she plays the passing lane and dives on the floor for loose balls, let me drop that #THROWBACK as she’s one of those “never takes a play off” type of player,

Porter ain’t carrying no luggage yet she’s learning how to carry her team and her desire on the curt always stands out. I love watching her “go after everything” off the rim, yeah that’s a #THROWBACK but so is her simply sacrificing her body diving for loose balls on the floor, in the stands as well as running into walls, figuratively speaking. She’s long and athletic, remember that’s the base and I’ve added several pluses without talking about her attacking and finishing from the wing, scoring on putbacks and she’s even dropping the long ball, add that up
Kemyreul Wheaton Kemyreul Wheaton 5'9" | SF Madisonville | 2024 State TX (Madisonville HS) D1 Solid [2024]
Wheaton has a nickname, Fat Momma, and her game was PHAT the first time I caught a glimpse of her in middle school with that same Lady Thunder squad mentioned earlier. She’s not only “long and athletic” but she’s also “strong and athletic” and she’s able to play all 5 positions effectively at this level. I love her playing the passing lane as well as throwing on the money passes in traffic. Her mid to long-range is solid, she attacks and uses nice body control to finish acrobatically and she rebounds strongly on both ends. yes she can “man up” in a hunnid
Zaria Solis-6’4 C (Burnett HS) Next Level [2025]
Solis has a HUGE upside starting with nice “hands and footwork” as well as a combination of nice finishes around the basket. Her soft touch facing the basket was equally impressive, and so was her igniting the break with the outlet after rebounding and running the floor, which she did on both ends and she also rebounded well on both ends. Her timing is also going to create problems, she altered some shots, deflected some as well as showed a power block
