Avery Rath Avery Rath 5'6" | PG Kidder County | 2023 State ND – Kidder County – (5’5/PG/2023) – Rath had a strong junior campaign and really paved the way for the Wolves next year. She’s a great addition to their spacing and is so hard to guard on the perimeter. Rath can put it on the deck or pop the trey ball in your face. With some improvement to her handles and the ability to come off screens tighter she is posed to make Kidder County Regional contenders again for the coming season.
Kiara Jangula – Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier – (5’6/PG/2023) – Jangula was hot to start and cooled off slightly towards the end of the year. She really came into her shot and was impressive the improvements that she made over the summer. Kiara is a smart player that can attack the rim with a quick explosive first step and developed such a soft floater to counter shot blockers. With the return of all their starters the Rebels are in prime shape to make another strong Region run and possibly even a state title contender.
Allison Thomas Allison Thomas 5'7" | CG Medina-Pingree/Buchanan | 2024 State ND – MPB – (5’6/CG/2024) – Thomas showed signs of getting her explosion back after an ACL tear 2 years ago. Thomas is a player that can hurt you inside and out with a quick first step and a deadly 3 point shot that really sparked some upsets later in the year over a tough Oakes squad twice. If Allison keeps shooting like she has been and gets her full explosive kit back watch out for the Thunder!
Tessa Rasmusson Tessa Rasmusson 5'8" | SG LaMoure-Litchville/Marion | 2024 State ND – Lamoure – (5’9/SG/2024) – Tessa is strong, physical, and able to keep her man in front of her. Rasmusson plays tough, to say the least. Inside-out guard that can switch between guard play and the forward spot. A high IQ player that crashes boards hard and can shoot the lights out of the gym if left open. She hit back-to-back clutch 3-pointers in the upset win for Region 3 title game against Oakes. I’m a betting man and I bet the Loboes start Rasmusson next year and she steps into a much larger role with the loss of captains Molly Musland and Molly Robbins.
Emily Jochim – South Border – (5’6/SG/2023) – Jochim was an interesting surprise this year. She willed the Mustangs to several upset wins on the year dropping over 20 points in multiple contests. Emily plays hard and comes off screens with the intent to score. A high IQ player that will be a key asset to this growing Mustang team next year as they try and navigate through a tough Region 3.
