Alliona Lawrence – Four Winds – (5’10/PF/2023) – Alliona is an explosive forward that can play the 2-4 position and even hints of the 5 spot. She’s agile and laterally inclined on the defensive end. Lawrence plays like a stretch forward and causes defenses confusion on how to help penetration to the rim with her outside shooting ability. Alliona is a talented player that returns on a talented Four Winds squad that just came up short of placing in state.
Natalie Decoteau Natalie Decoteau 5'10" | SG St. John | 2023 State ND – St. John – (5’10/SG/2023) – Decoteau is a high-level player that continues to get better every time I see her. She lives, eats, and sleeps in the gym. There’s no limit to what Decoteau can do on the court as she does it all and then some from fast break outlets to smart decision making on the court. She’s explosive on both ends of the court and a true 3-level scorer. If you haven’t seen Natalie in action you’re in for a treat from this walking triple-double.
Tiyahna Trottier – Dunseith – (6’0/PF/2023) – Trottier is a more traditional forward that plays back to the basket with the capabilities to hit mid-range jumpers from 17 out. She put on a display when it came to rebounding during the season gobbling anything that came around the rim and found herself with a handful of easy put-back buckets. With a solid summer, I think Trottier will develop into one of Dunseith’s go-to players for this coming year as she’s long, athletic, and has a high basketball IQ on the defensive end.
Jaya Henderson Jaya Henderson 5'10" | PG Langdon Area/Edmore/Munich | 2024 State ND – Langdon Area – (5’9/SG/2024) – Henderson is a sophomore stud! She’s got a lot of growing still do physically, but IQ wise she’s with the best of the best. She’s a player that rarely hurts her team and always finds ways to score the ball at all 3 levels. She’s not just an offensive threat as she displayed the ability to stick with some of the best guards at the camp. In terms of class for 22’ I think Henderson is without a doubt top 20 material in the state.
Jaylen Anderson Jaylen Anderson 5'10" | PF Benson County | 2023 State ND – Benson County – (5’10/PF/2023) – Anderson was a pleasant surprise at the camp. She displayed the ability to knock down mid-range shots and post up and score over some of the best forwards in the region. What Jaylen needs to continue to develop her ball-handling skills. She’s quick and athletic so fine-tuning the handles will be essential for next-level play.
