The event will run June 8th and June 9th at various gyms, all close in proximity (including Northville, Novi, Plymouth, and Salem). Let’s take a look at some of the highly skilled players to see on day 2 of the shootout.
Here are some players to watch on Day 1 of the event:
Rokaya Ajami (2024, F/C, Fordson)
Ajami had a breakout sophomore season in the paint for Fordson. She was an All-Conference player and really became an impact player for her team. Coaches and fans will want to keep an eye on the development of her game, especially offensively.
Kaylie Bash (2023, G/F, Erie Mason)
Bash was very good last year playing off the ball and providing an additional scoring threat to star Lizzie Liedel. With Liedeal’s graduation, Bash could see a very big uptick in scoring opportunities.
Sydney Brown Sydney Brown 5'9" | SG Northville | 2023 State MI (2023, SG, Northville)
Brown brings a lot to the table as a prospect. She’s an outstanding 2 way player that can lock down opposing scoring threats. Offensively, Brown has a solid jumper with 3 point range.
Rylan Buschell Rylan Buschell 5'4" | CG Belleville | 2025 State MI (2025, CG, Belleville)
Buschell is one of the most exciting young perimeter prospects in Michigan. She exhibits a high basketball IQ, playing efficiently and rarely forcing the issue.
Averi Collins (2025, PG, Plymouth)
Collins has seen a lot of growth in her game over the last year or so. She’s a solid ball handler and floor general that gets the ball to it’s spots. Collins could make a big jump this season.
Mary Copple Mary Copple 5'7" | PG Brighton | 2023 State MI (2023, PG, Brighton)
Copple is flat out one of the top shooters in the state. She can fill it up from behind the arc with staggering efficiency. Copple has the potential to be a truly elite lead guard and a household name for girls basketball fans in Michigan.
Mira Kelly (2024, F/C, Milford)
Kelly is a sneaky rebounder that will find a gap and chase down a rebound. She’s solid defensively and can play bigger than her height. Kelley will be critical to Milford’s success with her contribution in the lane on both ends of the floor.
Anna Lassan Anna Lassan 5'11" | SF South Lyon East | 2024 State MI (2024, SF, South Lyon East)
With the graduation of some solid players and stars, Lassan has the chance to really make her mark. She’s a top notch prospect with very evident next level skills. She’ll be a big time threat as a versatile forward.
Molly McLeod Molly McLeod 5'5" | CG Marian | 2025 State MI (2025, CG, Marian)
McLeod is a stone cold shooter. She has in the gym range and can fire it up quickly and confidently. McLeod is a flat out game changer with that jumper.
Chloe Perry Chloe Perry SG Dexter | 2023 State MI (2023, SG, Dexter)
Perry will be a real difference maker for Dexter this season. She’ll be tough to take off the floor as she gets it done on both ends. Perry will be counted on as a senior leader.
Katya Salame (2024, PG, Dearborn)
Salame has a ton of potential as a player. She could really develop into a defensive stopper on the perimeter. Her footwork and slick hands help her force turnovers and pick up steals.
