Pentagon Schoolers – 15U Frederick Prospects

I’m starting to get a better feel for the 2025, 2026, and 2027 classes via AAU/Grassroots viewing. It’s fun to get to know some new names or see them against strong competition in the region. I was able to catch the Pentagon Schoolers 15U Frederick squad at the Hardwood Challenge. It seems like a majority of their prospects are on the rise in my eyes. Let’s see specifically who rose their stocks and profile. We’ll have a close attention on the prospects’ elite traits or ones that standout most.

Pentagon Schoolers – 15U Frederick 

Thea Gust Thea Gust 5'9" | SG Centerville | 2025 State SD – Centerville – Thea is one of the most pure shooters in the state. Her left-handed three-ball is always on-target and her release is consistent as can be. Her ranking will be adjusted here soon and she now lies in the top 15 in the 2025 class, and that might be an undersell. She’s 5’9 and as smooth as ever with the ball and shooting it. She’s in the featured image above, showing off her prototypical jumper.

Adison Moore Adison Moore 5'6" | CG Huron | 2025 State SD – Huron – I’m actually very excited about Adison Moore Adison Moore 5'6" | CG Huron | 2025 State SD going forward. She’s a surprising athlete and moves at a high level. I hadn’t known much about her, but was finally able to see her. Might have her in the top 30.

Logan Smidt Logan Smidt 5'8" | PG Brookings | 2025 State SD – Brookings – Logan is an elite passer and has elite court vision and IQ. There’s something to be said for being highly-skilled as a complete passer. I now have her at #5 in my updated rankings coming soon.

Ryan Hanssen Ryan Hanssen 5'11" | SF Lennox | 2025 State SD – Lennox – Ryan has been improving every time I see her. She’s becoming a high-effort and high producing rebounder. She earns a lot of her rebounds. Stock is up.

Maya Nelson Maya Nelson 5'5" | CG Sioux Falls Christian | 2025 State SD – Sioux Falls Christian – I’m starting to like Maya’s game more and more. Definitely too low on her in the past and starting to appreciate her ability to play on both ends. She hustles and is smart. Stock up.

Emma Marshall Emma Marshall 5'8" | SG Irene-Wakonda | 2025 State SD – Irene-Wakonda – Emma is one that I saw in the past, but really stood out at the Hardwood challenge, as a long and athletic prospect. She can move and get off the ground. She was listed at 5’8 but looks much longer than that.

Cailey Van Ruler Cailey Van Ruler 5'11" | SF Brandon Valley | 2025 State SD – Van Ruler is athletic and plays very strong in the paint. She plays tough and aggressive. She’ll take advantage of a weaker defender. Jumps out of the gym and is 5’11. Will take it straight at the defense near the hoop.
