Yeah, I also like those who come off picks and drop it as well as those who can “catch and shoot it” with accuracy but that’s just me. A scorer on the hand can also be a shooter yet they find ways to put the ball in the basket so here were my picks based on the rosters that were provided
Sydney Hagen-5’6 SG (Westside) Omaha Supreme 2023 Hanke [2024]
Hagan did a good job creating her shot under pressure and an even better job knocking it down while being defended. She mixed it up to attack off the dribble yet her pull-up jumper was one of her “go too” ways of getting buckets. She also handled the ball in the open court and saw the floor
Vanessa Coleman Vanessa Coleman 5'10" | SF Tulsa Union | 2025 State OK -5’9 SG (Union) EYG 2024
Coleman might not be related to that lantern family, well or even the one that makes coolers but let me say this, she was hot from deep all day Sunday. Yeah, she did a good job on opening day, dropping shots when they really needed them under pressure, the cooler, however, the shooting exhibition from mid to long range was smoking. She also attacked and scored, played the passing lane and scored, and even rebounded, and scored on putbacks
Kenly Gore-5’5 SG 3T Training 2024
Gore along with teammates Keirstin Biggs, Hadley Gibson, and Teagan Hamar were all dropping the long ball to close out the event, I may have even missed a player when I went to the concession stand yet Gore went off both days. She created her shot, set the defender up with a deceptive first step, and showed not only a quick release but a fluid one, and when you factor in she was consistent…
KaMyra Barber KaMyra Barber 5'9" | PG Wichita Heights | 2025 State KS -5’9 SG (Sunrise Christian Academy) B2B Kansas Bluejays 2023 [2025]
Barber sold me the first PGH Circuit event I caught her back in Dallas if I’m not mistaken and I was even more astounded to see what class she was in. How about me saying “she’s a certified baller” in fact, a #D1Lock based on her potential and upside. She falls into the “scorer” category because yeah, she can drop the mid to long-range with ease but she also scored off the dribble after contact. Her body control as well as her outrebounding taller players to score on putbacks always gives me a thrill
Marin Adams Marin Adams 5'11" | PG Farmington | 2025 State AR -5’10 SG/SF Arkansas Athletes Outreach Flight 2025
Adams is “long and athletic” and that is what I call the base because it’s a profile many college coaches look at immediately. She plays the passing lane and can handle the ball afterward to either attack the basket and score or take the “stop and pop” jumper. She has good court vision, she rebounds and defends, and oh yeah, she shot the long ball pretty good
Hudson Welsh Hudson Welsh 5'6" | SG St. Thomas Aquinas | 2026 State KS -5’6 CG (St Thomas Aquinas) Kansas Elite White 2026
Welsh is heady and plays within herself, that’s big at this stage of her career and when you factor in she can handle the ball under pressure as well as hit the right teammate using solid court vision, that too is pretty big. She can score off the dribble yet she also created her shot to knock down the mid and long-range
