Continue ReadingNo. 1 – The Stanford-commit is one of the toughest players in the state to defend. Her size and shooting touch are a rare blend. Ogden does a great job getting to her spots in the mid-range, but will also get all the way to the rim and is willing to score in the post. The five-star 6-foot-1 wing instantly makes any team she’s on a title contender. She turned around Westminster last season after coming off a serious leg injury, pouring in 18.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.2 blocks.
No. 2 – Consistency matters. Erin Rodgers Erin Rodgers 6’1″ | SF Grayson | 2024 State GA gets the job down night in and night out. She’s one of the best rebounders in her class. The wing loves to crash the offensive glass. What separates Erin from most is her wiry physicality. She does an outstanding job of finishing through contact.
No. 3 – A blow up season could be on the horizon for Toni Warren Toni Warren 6’0″ | SF Cherokee | 2024 State GA . She’s a devastating scorer that uses her high release to get clean looks. She’s deadly from the mid-range, hitting turnaround jumpers with ease. Over the offseason she’s looked quicker and more dynamic with the ball, using a crossover to get downhill. Warren scores in bunches. Her ability to catch fire at any given moment is scary.
No. 4 – George Washington landed Sara Lewis Sara Lewis 6’1″ | SF Woodward Academy | 2023 State GA following a strong offseason. Lewis has a quick first step and has really molded herself into becoming a multi-level scorer. She’s a tough rebounder, but it’s her three-point shot that has really elevated her over the past two seasons. Lewis has a chance to average close to 20 points per game now that Sydney Bowles has graduated. She’s coming off a season in which she put up 14.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.9 steals as the War Eagles won their second consecutive state title.
No. 5 – The flood gates opened this summer for Brooke Moore Brooke Moore 6’0″ | SF North Cobb Christian | 2023 State GA as offers came pouring in. Moore has one of the most intriguing upsides in the class with her elite length, athleticism and well-rounded skill set. Brooke is a game-changer on defense with her ability to protect the rim and also jump passing lanes. On offense, Moore has shown flashes of being a playmaker with her passing. She’s a smooth slasher and a good shooter off the dribble with three-point range. Moore’s tools are as good as anyone’s in 2023.
