Jones is a 6-1 powerful center, who can back down people in the post. Centers are undervalued in todays game, But I feel they are still very valuable. In the event, Jones took full advantage of her size, scoring on smaller matchups in the post. I like how she catches the ball high and rarely brought the ball down. I feel that is one of the reasons she rarely turned the ball over. She has good hands and a good touch around the basket. One of the best true centers from the showcase. Definitely a lot of potential in Jones game.
Hannah is a point Guard, who can run the offense, makes players around her better, and has a high basketball IQ. She is a hard working player, with a very strong upside. On defense she was very active in the passing lanes at the showcase.
Kelly Is Guard with good size for the position and she could be still growing. She is a really good defender and can defend multiple positions. She has good length and lateral movement. She was in attack mode all day at the showcase. She beat her defender off the dribble, multiple times to score. She also rebounds the ball very well for a Guard. Kelly has a good skill set to match her size. Definitely another player from the showcase who you will hear about this coming season.
Highlights
As many scouts have already pointed out, Abigail was dominate in the pick and roll. She showed her high basketball IQ reading the screens. She was also very tough to defend one on one, and was attacking the defenders down hill. In an interview with a member of the Prep Hoops staff, she said her favorite move to get by the defense is a behind the back or a crossover dribble. Abigail plays well above her age level.
Brooke had a strong Spring/Summer season coming back from an injury. She is a 6-0 forward who has a soft touch around the basket, and a soft hook shot. She can control her body, and has fundamentally sound footwork in the post. She can also run the floor and moves well for her size. At the showcase I saw her make finishes on both the left and the right side. There is a strong upside in Brooke’s game.
