We’re starting from the back of our top 250 for this rankings list, continuing on with prospects No. 240-231.
No. 240: Angelina Doto Angelina Doto SG Cresskill | 2023 State NJ – SG, Cresskill
Doto is a player that was more than willing to get physical in the lane and welcome contact. The more she’s driven into the lane, the more opportunities she’s had overall from what it seems. She can shoot well from the perimeter, which opens up the floor and allows her to operate with more space.
No. 239: Gianna Guzman Gianna Guzman 5'7" | PG Immaculata | 2023 State NJ – PG, Mater Dei
Guzman balances out her offense well, not overly relying on one thing to be successful. She’s been able to focus on a number of things, from midrange shooting to dribble penetration in the paint to kicking it out to the wing for an open look. She’s really done it all and has shown tremendous growth by that metric.
No. 238: Arianna Jackson-Wach Arianna Jackson-Wach SF Boonton | 2023 State NJ – SF, Boonton
Give us more and more Jackson-Wach playing time on the floor for Boonton. We really like how her progression has been through the high school game and she’s showing great balance and a well-rounded game. She can score, she can shoot, she’s aggressive on the defensive end and she can facilitate and rebound as well.
No. 237: Malina Ferrandino Malina Ferrandino CG Howell | 2023 State NJ – CG, Howell
Ferrandino had her best stretch of the season at just the right time, peaking toward the final third of the regular season for Howell. She showcased an ability to drive and outlet as needed, getting her teammates involved in the fray. She doesn’t shy away from the glass and battles it out for rebounds, holding her ground. The next step is continued consistency.
No. 236: Kelly McDermott Kelly McDermott 5'8" | PF Warren Hills | 2023 State NJ – PF, Warren Hills
McDermott has found her stride on the defensive side of the ball and has solidified herself as a reliable shot-blocker and rebounder. Along with that, she’s been someone who can often disrupt defenses and cause turnovers to help start the fast break for Warren Hills. McDermott needs to complement her defense with more aggressive offensive play to reach a new level of dominance.
No. 235: Micha Iah Kingsberry Micha Iah Kingsberry PF Irvington | 2023 State NJ – PF, Irvington
Kingsberry is coming off her best defensive season with Irvington and should be able to build off of that in a big way as a senior. She’s shown more aggression as a shot-blocker, she’s quicker to the ball off the boards and she plays smarter overall. As her defense has gone, her offense has started to follow and she’s realized the success she can have on the offensive side of the ball.
No. 234: Nicole Rinaldi Nicole Rinaldi CG Somerville | 2023 State NJ – CG, Somerville
Rinaldi is an interesting prospect to keep an eye one, someone who’s slowly finding her stride as an offensive player, but someone who’s really pushed the bar as a rebounder, perimeter defender and passer in the past year. This growth has been expected, but has come rapidly thus far.
No. 233: Ariana Vira Ariana Vira 5'5" | CG North Plainfield | 2023 State NJ – CG, North Plainfield
Vira gives you everything you’re looking for in a volume perimeter shooter because she executed well from three as a junior. She found her spots and consistently hit from them as the season progressed. Vira is someone who loves catch-and-shoot situations, but leave her open on the dribble and she’ll make you pay.
No. 232: Elaine Alcantara Elaine Alcantara 5'8" | C Memorial | 2023 State NJ – 5-8 C, Memorial
Alcantara is a smaller frontcourt player, but she’s proven herself to be a mainstay in the middle for Memorial, especially last season after more than doubling her season averages from her sophomore year. Alcantara is playing with confidence now that she’s a bonafide started on this roster and will be a major impact player for the program this coming season.
No. 231: Maggie Sullivan Maggie Sullivan SF St. Elizabeth | 2023 State NJ – SF, St. Elizabeth
Talk about an instant impact after two seasons of barely playing basketball, Sullivan came out in her junior year and really pushed the tempo for St. Elizabeth, bringing a great defensive presence along with someone who can score both outside and in. She’s an improving facilitator, but the more she can keep that perimeter defense stout, the better.
