Here are some post players in the Triad area of North Carolina that includes the Greensboro, High Point, and Winston-Salem areas.
Raniyah Hocutt Raniyah Hocutt 6’3″ | C R.J. Reynolds | 2023 NC is a force in the paint. While some posts may pass and stand still, she knows how to move without the ball crashing the boards for an offensive rebound or finding another way to seal off her opponent. It seems most players she goes up against struggle with boxing her out as she grabs rebounds with ease, and she knows how to rip the ball to protect the possession. She does a good job anticipating what her teammate will do in order to open up the lane for them or get open for her own points.
Jada Creech Jada Creech 6’0″ | PF Winston-Salem Christian National | 2023 NC will be adding some strength to her Winston Salem Christian team this year. Being dominant from the block seems so easy to her with the way she can move her opponents out of the way and score some points. She is aggressive going after rebounds. Her vocal leadership certainly helps her teammates understand what is happening and where she is to help them when playing defense.
Zaire Jones Zaire Jones 5’10” | PF Oak Grove | 2023 NC is a strong presence inside being able to track the ball effectively coming off the backboard in order to grab rebounds. She makes it easy for guards to get her the ball with her ability to seal off her opponents getting ready for the entry pass. She runs the floor well making sure she is available in transition or she can even grab the rebound and take it coast to coast for some fast break points.
Kamryn Snyder Kamryn Snyder 6’1″ | PF Northwest Guilford | 2024 NC has been a shot blocking machine for several years now, and she is getting more and more agile handling the ball. She can catch and score from the block, and she knows how to maneuver her way around her defender to get to the basket handling the ball herself. She runs the floor well filling in the lanes in transition to score off of fast breaks.
