Nuckolls has been a 20-10 threat since her sophomore season. She moves well on the perimeter and has deft footwork attacking the rim. Mattie isn’t afraid to bang inside and score tough buckets up close, all while maintaining a soft touch from the three-point line.
(Up from No. 86) The three-point queen of the GHSA has great length on the perimeter with added strength as well. Brick plays very hard, first to get on the ground for loose balls and will crash in for rebounds. Her ball handling has been improving. Her shooting prowess has her as a priority for D-II schools.
(Up from No. 66) Nuri played extremely well in July. She’s a physically built wing that can score and rebound inside. Nylah’s outside shot has risen her stock. She has a compact stroke. Nuri shot efficiently from beyond the arc and hit mid-range shots when presented. Nylah is in store for a big senior season.
Highlights
(Up from No. 67) Jackson has one of the more polished low block arsenals in the state. Kate is a throwback post in the sense that you can force feed her post touches and she will score effectively. Jackson likes to dive over her left shoulder into the lane for hook shots and can move opponents out of the way with drop steps. When needed, Jackson can space the floor and shoot the three. Kate’s offense and rebounding are impressive. While she doesn’t block a ton of shots, Jackson is still a reliable post defender that uses her size well.
(Up from No. 81) Emmanuel and Oglethorpe have offered this summer. Naomi is a toolsy wing that does a lot well. Roberts is a good athlete that covers ground in the press as an aggressive defender. She is capable of defending on the perimeter and in the post. Roberts pushes the ball well in transition and shows flashes of being a point-forward with her passing skills. Naomi rebounds at a solid clip and scores from multiple levels, mixing in a three-pointer she can score off the dribble. Roberts could flourish at the next level in the right spot.
