They shot the ball with consistency and purpose and was skilled at least two levels on the floor, some were really good and had consistency on all three levels as a scorer, here are the names we choose for the 2023s.
2023, 5’4, PG/SG, JSerra HS, Jessica Bakhsh Jessica Bakhsh 5'4" | PG JSerra Catholic | 2023 State CA – Jessica is a natural born scorer, she can score in a variety of ways, she can get by opponent and get the rim as well as pull up and hit a midrange jumper. She is equally skilled at making the three pointer, we saw her make one or two, but she is also a playmaker that can score when a coach needs a basket. She is a problem on the court, she can play the game with a high IQ.
2023, 5’6, SG/SF, Newport Christian School, Lani Bowman Lani Bowman 5'6" Newport Christian School | 2023 CA – Lani is a scorer in the paint and from the midrange spot on the court, she always seems to be at the right spot on the floor to get a good bucket for her team. She can score in the post as well as pull up on her defender and score a short range jumper, but her main scoring we loved was the offensive rebounding skills that allowed her to get easy putbacks at the rim. m
2023, 6’0, SF/PF, Roosevelt HS, Sydney Nelson Sydney Nelson 6'0" | SF Eleanor Roosevelt | 2023 State CA – Sydney is one of the most efficient scorers of the day, she could score each and every time she touched the ball today. We loved what we saw from her, she is tall and lanky and could seal her defender and score at will. She offensively rebounded the ball and then made easy putbacks, she was a monster in the paint and had no one who could deal with her on the court.
2023, 5’9, PF, Kennedy HS, Michelle Ogasawara Michelle Ogasawara 5'9" Kennedy | 2023 CA – Michelle was a scorer in the paint as well, she rebounded and putback buckets with ease, she could also knock down the midrange shot with some consistency. She used her body well in the paint and she kept her defenders on alert, cause she was a threat to score at every time she caught the ball in the paint. We loved her body type and she was a fierce defender to boot.
