Kiara Williams Kiara Williams 6'1" | PF Palm Bay Magnet | 2024 State FL /2024 / 6’1 PF / Palm Bay
One of the best power forwards in Florida was putting in the work at the Southeast Showcase. Kiara Williams Kiara Williams 6'1" | PF Palm Bay Magnet | 2024 State FL has been turning heads all summer long with her play. At the Southeast Showcase, she really looked great out on the court. She was killing the midrange game especially in the feeethrow area. Down on the blocks she was drop stepping, doing up and unders, and pivoting before dropping the ball in the bucket. Her footwork was in full effect and so was every other aspect of William’s game. She was a force on the glass, grabbing every rebound within reach. She also ran the court well and sometimes she initiated the fast break herself.
Ni’ana Hill Ni’ana Hill 5'7" | SF Palm Bay Magnet | 2024 State FL /2024 / 5’6 SG / Palm Bay
Hill was one of the best players to lace them up at the Southeast Showcase. Her athleticism, fluidity, and execution were impressive. She set up defenders all day long and at times just toyed with them. Hill shot the jumper very well and especially in the 10 foot range. When not connecting in the midrange she was taking the ball to the rim and finishing at various angles and various degrees of difficulty. Defensively, she was locking it down on the wing. She stoodout and was not only one of the best Juniors, but one of the best players in the building.
Tyra Blye / 2024 / 5’10 PG / Everglades
If I could describe Blye in one word it would be “Silky-smooth.” Well make that two words. Blye was one of the most athletic players at the Showcase. She is long, quick and can really get to the rim and finish. Her ability to finish at various angles was impressive. She also rebounded well from the guard position and did a good job of handling the ball at the point and also from the shooting guard position. She did well in all the areas on the court. Blye’s athleticism and strenghts really shine through when she is playing in transition.
Sydney Roundtree Sydney Roundtree 6'0" | PF Bishop Kenny | 2024 State FL / 6’0 SF / Bishop Kenny
When Roundtree gathered her steps on a fast break as if she was hoping to dunk it wouldn’t have been a surprise if she had succeeded. She was flying around the entire showcase all day, grabbing rebounds near the rim and slapping the background (near the rim area) during layup drills. The vertical wasn’t the only thing that stoodout about Roundtree. She was killing it in the paint and even knocked down a few threes. As usually the athleticism showed in everything Roundtree did. Roundtree was very good in the painted area and especially in transition. Defensively she is versatile and can guard in the paint and out in space. In transition she was virtually unstoppable once she got the ball in her hands.
Jayla Rumley Jayla Rumley 5'10" | PF Bartow | 2024 State FL /2024 / 5’10 PF / Bartow
Rumley was very impressive and has the physical look and athleticism of a college player already. She rebounds well and finishes well in the paint. She has the potential to record a double-double every time out. At the Southeast Showcase, Rumley was very efficient in the paint. She also knocked down jumpers from the freethrow in. Defensively she was strong inside and had the versatility to defend on the wing.
Nyla Patrizio Nyla Patrizio 6'2" | C Cocoa | 2024 FL / 2024 / 6’2 PF / Cocoa
Patrizio was in the middle of the action all day at the Southeast Showcase. She scores well in the paint and she rebounds well on both ends of the court. She does a good job of running the court and finishing in transition. Offensively, she is very good in the midrange area. Patrizio hustles and gives effort on both ends of the court for the entire game.
