Below are a couple of key new additions and players who have earned the jump!
With recently committing to become a Huskie next year, Fay has shown dominance on the court over this past summer. Maddy is an issue to deal with on the low block, due to her size, strength and touch around the rim. She can either face you up, or back you down with no problem. On the defensive side of the ball, her energy and focus is just as the same. The Fremd standout will be sure to have a strong senior season.
Highlights
Making her entrance into the rankings at spot 57. Arne has all the energy, passion, tools and size to be a consistent threat on the court. On the offensive side, Arne can score in multiple ways. Her in the paint presence is felt immediately. Soft touch around the rim, fluid shot from 12-15ft and patience when she’s making moves. Defensively this kid finds ways to make plays. Deflections, blocks, steals, she is a disruptor. After capturing a state title last year, and a standout AAU season, Kate is returning with a strong amount of confidence.
Highlights
New to PGH Rankings, the absolute stud of player makes her way into the Top 25. Sanaj is an offensive problem. A 3 level scorer who has the creativity, confidence and footwork to create for herself and her teammates. Defensively, she puts the same amount of effort and energy into stopping her assignment, as she does scoring on her assignment. A key player to watch in her final season at Latin High.
The sharpshooting Hillsdale commit leaps up 15 spots and cracks the Top 50. Pietryzk can shoot with the best in the state. She’s athletic, strong and has the body control to deal with traffic and contact with finishing around the rim. With a strong IQ to play off the ball. Annalise has the skillset to adjust to any type of offense, due to her three level scoring ability. On the opposite side of the ball, her grit and determination allow her to contain most guards her size and bigger.
A 10 spot leap is well deserved for the future Mountain Hawk, Ozzauto. Her scoring ability, locked in energy, and smooth/calm demeanor separates her from most. Her game is simple and far from flashy, but Jessie will get the job done. She can score from all levels, defend 1-3 because of her length and agility and her focus is unmatched. She never seems bothered or phased during any type of situation. Huntley will be a team to keep an eye on this year.
In transition Schrank is a problem to deal with. She’s focused, poised and versatile as they come. Springing up 27 spots, the lengthy 3 out of Winnebago, has a tremendous set of offensive skills, and extensive feel for the game. Defensively her length, versatility and agility causes issues or guards and wings. She can guard and contain multiple positions while still being able to score. She just does a little bit of everything. A coaches favorite type of player.
Highlights
Newcomer to the 2023 rankings, and recent Vassar commit, Regen is a shot creator, playmaker and a battery for any program. Her scoring ability at levels is must see. She demands attention from the defense which allows her to utilize her IQ, vision and strong passing ability to create for her teammates. Shifty, quick with a smooth handle.. are the key factors to her being a strong guard. Defensively. the same aggression and focus seen on the O is mirrored on the defensive side. St Ignatius will be a team to tune into.
