Berkheimer is a junior guard that looks to put pressure on the defense with the ball in her hands. At 5’3, the combo guard pushes the pace in transition, often seeking outlet passes to open teammates. A shifty ballhandler, Berkheimer could change directions on a dime, making her tough to corner within the open court. Berkheimer brought consistently high energy through her defensive toughness going through screens and sticking with the opponent no matter the obstacles at hand. Within the halfcourt, she stayed aggressive getting downhill and finishing with the layup or floater. When the guard is confident from deep, she is capable hitting threes from all over the floor. Berkheimer ranks 118th within the 2024 class and 51st among combo guards.
Enyiah Contreraz Enyiah Contreraz 5'6" | SG Holy Family | 2026 State CO – Holy Family – 2026
Contreraz was one the more advanced playmakers in the 2026 class, given her ability to drain tough shots and put pressure on the defense. At roughly 5’7, the combo guard brings a physical, yet skilled style of play. She made tough shots out on the perimeter as a pull-up shooter, extending out beyond the three-point line. She hit multiple shots off the bounce, including a turnaround pull-up three from the corner. Given her high level shot making, the defense has to play up on her, creating even more space in the paint for drives. Once at the rim, Contreraz was efficient finishing off of either foot regardless of contact. She was one of the better guard rebounders at this event, where her combination of hustle and soft touch makes her a potential glass cleaner. Already possessing plenty of scoring gravity with the ball, I look forward to tracking her development as a passer coming off of drives.
Tahlaya Biglow Tahlaya Biglow 5'6" | PG Doherty | 2024 State CO – Doherty – 2024
Biglow showed assertiveness getting to the paint and making high IQ decisions under duress. The junior point guard looked to create pressure around the rim off of drives. Although capable finishing with either hand, Biglow was efficient contributing turnaround fadeaways over contests. She proved to have confidence making tough shots over players much taller than her, at 5’6. Biglow ranks 40th in the 2024 class and 16th among point guards.
Karson Chaney Karson Chaney 5'7" | CG Cherokee Trail | 2026 State CO – Cherokee Trail – 2026
Chaney was especially aggressive getting downhill either as the primary playmaker or secondary scoring threat. At roughly 5’8, the guard did well getting to the rim through her quick first step or with a powerful dribble move. Once at the rim, she has great touch with either hand. Chaney proved to have excellent balance versus pressure, going up to score regardless of what leg she came off of. Should the defense look to stop the drive, Chaney’s floater is another tool at her disposal. Although she is very crafty, Chaney is more than capable drawing contact and fouls versus paint defenders. She came out aggressive at the event, noticeably heating up quick and scoring in bursts. Should Chaney find more consistency from her scoring aggression, she could have a high-level season ahead of her at Cherokee Trail.
