These talented prospects shined every second they were on the court, and are really starting to turn heads with their play. Do not be surprised when you see these names pop up everywhere once the season starts to get rolling…
Chanel Noel Shuler Chanel Noel Shuler 6'3" | PF Link Academy ▪︎ 23 -24 | 2026 State TX 2026 6’3 Prestonwood Christian Academy
Chanel is an impressive forward with a very stout frame already, standing at 6’3 already! She is a dominant rim protector, who is great at using her length to tip shots and force her opponents to adjust their shot angles. I loved watching her work on the interior, and played really well on a team with some dominant guards. She knew her guards would find her in time if she cut to the rim, or quickly fronted her opponent on the block, allowing her to easily score in the paint. She has a soft little turn around she loves to get to with her back to the basket, and her size allows her to rise up over her opponents. I was very impressed with how well she was able to use her length to keep the ball out of her opponent’s reach. She is very aware with the ball in her hands and that allows her to get her opponents to bite on up fakes. Defensively, she is vocal and calls out switches and defensive assignments from the back of the defense. I was very impressed with how well she protected the rim and never allowed her opponent’s a free look down low. Shuler has all the tools to become an incredibly dominant weapon at the next level. Keep your eyes on this one coaches!
Amaya Mcdonald Amaya Mcdonald 6'0" | C Braswell | 2026 TX 2026 6’0 Braswell High School
Amaya is an incredibly skilled forward who finishes with ease with her back to the basket, but more importantly always seems to be running the floor for open looks. I loved her consistent energy up and down the court, there were multiple instances in which she worked hard on the defensive end of the floor to end a possession and then beat her opponent down the court! She is aggressive down low, which allows her to rise up and finish through contact as well. She was dominant on the fast break and showed an ability to handle the ball in limited bounces and get to the rim. Her aggressiveness is not only evident when she has the ball in the post, but defensively she protects the rim and boxes out to grab rebounds. Any time a shot went up her eyes immediately found a defender and boxed her out. Her positioning really frustrated most of her opponents, they never had a shot of getting a rebound over her! Her energy on the defensive end bled through into all of her teammates during her time on the court, she fronted the post to cut off passing angles, and then quickly shuffled back into position, or slid over at the right time to affect her opponent’s shot. This really seemed to raise the intensity of how her whole team played on the perimeter, knowing she was back there ready and able to clean up anything down low.
Julieta Diaz Julieta Diaz 6'2" | C Westmoore High School | 2026 TX 2026 6’2 Westmoore High School
Julieta is a skilled forward with a great arsenal of post moves, allowing her to score with ease with her back to the basket. I loved watching her dominate with bunny hooks and soft turnarounds, constantly creating space and separation without having to put the ball on the floor. She is a high level rebounder, constantly chasing down long rebounds and highpointing the ball well. There were a few instances in which she could have boxed out her opponent a bit longer, and really work on the interior to seal her opponents off from having a chance at the ball. She already has a great nose for rebounds bouncing off the cylinder, but if she continues to work on the little things, no one will have a chance of contesting her in the paint or grabbing rebounds with her.
Patricia Grady Patricia Grady 5'10" | PF Mansfield Legacy | 2026 TX 2026 5’11 Mansfield Legacy High School
Patricia is an intriguing prospect with a unique blend of size, skill and vision with the basketball. She is very impressive on the glass, collecting rebounds and boxing out opponents. I loved watching her clean the glass on both ends of the court, high pointing the ball and keeping her head up to find the right outlet pass. Her ability to find the right outlet pass allowed her team to be that much more successful on the fast break, constantly beating the other team up and down the court. She showed an ability to play out of the high post and create offense for her team that way as well, finding her cutting teammates with pinpoint bounce passes. She even showed an ability to hit shots in the mid-range off the bounce, further showing off her utility and ability to do it all! Her perfect blend of vision and size is a coveted asset, and college coaches should know her name!
Maccie Bain Maccie Bain 6'1" | C Kiowa Public High School | 2026 TX 2026 6’1 Kiowa High School (Oklahoma)
Maccie is a strong forward who dominates on the interior with her aggressive finishing ability and willingness to fight for rebounds. She has an impressive frame which allows her to bully her opponents into any spot she wants them to. She is a smooth finisher, who can finish on either side of the rim. She displayed a soft touch around the basket too with some impressive bunny hooks, as she rose over her opponent. An aspect of her game I really enjoyed watching was her fight for positioning and willingness to box her opponents out or bump them off of their spots on the block. I would like to see her work on her ability to rim run to get more open opportunities on the fast break. With how well she finishes, if she beats the opposing big down the court I am not sure there is anyone else on the court who can affect her shot….
