PGH Wisconsin Top 250: Intriguing Wings

I want to highlight some talented wings from the Top 250 event in Appleton. These kids stood out for different reasons, and I'll get into why, but I liked these four in particular.   [player_tooltip player_id='509695' first='Emily' last='Urban']   I think Urban can play a lead guard role, but in my opinion, she best suits playing off the ball. When she catches the ball, she is a threat to do just about anything. However, the way she explodes past defenders off the catch is why she might be better off the ball. Urban blew by her defender a few times right after she caught the ball and got to the rim before her initial defender could react. She may not get varsity minutes right away at Kimberly, but I'll be curious to see how she handles the FVA.   [player_tooltip player_id='329560' first='Madison' last='Ehlenbach']   I've known that Ehlenbach could score, and I'm happy I got to focus on what she can do on the other end. I liked how well she moved her feet defensively and stayed in front of her assignment in all three games. The Columbus junior kept a high level of focus all day when she was fresh and when she got tired. She has a competitive mindset, and it showed at the Champions Center.   [player_tooltip player_id='444785' first='Karsyn' last='Bauman']   I never saw Bauman on the floor before she went down with an injury last year. However, on Sunday, she looked good. Bauman was moving well and looked confident in her body to hold up. She defended well on the perimeter and rebounded well. Even with that end of the floor being impressive, I liked what the Ripon junior did offensively. Bauman's jumper looks solid, and she gets good lift and height on her release. I don't think many kids have the physical tools to contest her shot when she wants to shoot.   [player_tooltip player_id='401056' first='Ella' last='Hamacher']   The Stoughton sophomore is a hybrid between a wing and a forward. She does most of her damage in the paint but gets there by attacking from the perimeter. She can finish through contact and beat her initial defender on the outside with her quickness. However, she doesn't just put her head down and attack the basket. She has some moves once she gets to the paint. Hamacher can reverse pivot around the rim, spin to her right shoulder, or rise and make a floater. I thought made a good account for herself in Appleton.
