Ava was lighting it up from three point range all day long. She is a guard who is fun to watch. She handles the ball well, is crafty and can get her shot off in multiple ways. She has a smooth shooting form with a quick release. She can also attack the close out and get to the rim. She is a tough defender, who won’t make it easy on who she is guarding. She has good basketball instincts and knows when to attack the screen or give it to the post on the roll. A playmaking guard, who is definitely proving she is a college prospect that will do well at the next level.
Ruby was one of the quickest players I saw play at the expo. She has a very quick first step off the dribble, and good explosiveness going to the rim. She really worked hard on the boards, and was able to rebound over players bigger in size. Ruby also made a number of good entry passes into the post. A lot of upside in Ruby’s game.
Natalie is elite, and was one of the top players in attendance at the expo. She is one of the top player in New England for her class. She is a 6’0 Guard/Forward. She is very fundamental and does a number thing to impact the game. She has excellent footwork, and a lethal spin move to score in the paint. She used her spin move multiple times throughout the day. She was also firing shooting from the outside. She has a very good inside out game, with the ability to pull up or get to the rim. She is a playmaker. Not many players have her size and can do what she can. So much upside in her game, and I think division 1 college level potential.
Callie had a really good showing at the expo. She had some tough finishes at the rim with both hands. She also shot well from the outside. She was really tough on defense, especially when guarding ball screens. She also was switched a couple of times on to bigger players down low. She played good defense without fouling and proved that she can guard multiple positions. She was very active on defense jumping the passing lanes. Her steals lead to easy offense for her and her team. She manages to get in the paint and score off 1 or 2 feet. She is a quick player, with good lateral quickness. I liked how vocal she she was on the court. She was constantly communicating with her team and talking on the floor.
