Mia Saunders Mia Saunders 5'6" | CG Lake Minneola | 2024 State FL / 2024 / 5’6 SG / Number 60 / Lake Mineola
Saunders played very well at the Expo and stood out as one of the best scoring guards in the 2024 class. Saunders is athletic and can put the ball in the basket in a lot of ways. In one game alone, Saunders knocked down several long-range three-pointers, ripped and connected on a midrange shot, and connected on a few shots in the paint. In addition to being a three-level scorer, Saunders played good defense and got a few steals in the passing lanes. Saunders can play the point or the shooting guard as she handles the ball very well.
Asya Jones / 2024 / 5’5 SG / Bishop Snyder
Jones was very impressive at scoring the basketball. She has good timing and knows how to get behind the defense in transition. Jones was also good at getting in scoring position and knows how to get in scoring. she has very good timing. She knows how to read the defense flash open for the pass and score. Jones has a high basketball IQ and exceptional anticipation. Defensively, Jones plays the passing lanes well and plays good on ball defense.
Molly Smith / 2024 / 5’3 SG / Horizon
Smith was a very exciting player to watch at the Expo. She has a sweet left-handed jumper and is a three-level scorer who shoots and plays with great confidence. Smith has good speed and showed it when she took one from one end of the court to the other end. Smith makes great decisions on the court with the ball in her hand. She showed good court vision and made some nice passes to teammates cutting to the basket. She and a few of the guards were interchangeable and Jones stood out running the point as well as playing the two. Smith also pushes the ball up the floor in transition and fills the lane when the ball is not in her hands on the break. Defensively, Smith is a good on-ball defender.
Claire Coogan / 5’4 SG / Episcopal
Coogan is that player who does a lot of little things on the court. Offensively she can get to the goal and finish through contact. She can score at all three levels and she is a good three-point shooter. In one of the games, the coach was telling his team to watch Coogan and she still connected on two long-range shots. Coogan handled the ball well while running the point, but she was at her best knocking down the threes from the shooting guard position.
Hailey Revak / 5’4 SG / Orange Park
Revak did a good job of shooting the ball from the corners. She is very good at getting to her spot to shoot, whether in transition or in a set offense. She will be a very important piece to Orange Park’s success. She will get many scoring opportunities because every defense will be throwing two and three players at Revak’s teammate, Eris Lester Eris Lester 5'10" | SF Montverde Academy | 2024 State FL .
