Brenna Dick Brenna Dick 5'9" | SG West Fargo Sheyenne | 2024 State ND – West Fargo Sheyenne – (5’9/SG/2024) – Brenna is a talented high level guard with an incredibly gifted IQ. She sees the floor and makes reads that are next level. She shot over 40% from the field this past year and nearly averaged 13 points a game. A knockdown shooter that can score at all 3 levels. I expect nothing, but big things for Brenna on her Junior campaign.
Karley Franks Karley Franks 5'8" | SG Fargo Davies | 2024 State ND – Fargo Davies – (5’7/SG/2024) – Karley comes off a solid Sophomore year shooting an almost 40% from beyond the trey line. Spot up, off the bounce or coming off screens you have to know where Franks is at all times on the defensive side of play. She averaged nearly 13 points last year and I expect that number to increase a healthy 30% this year. There’s no doubt she’ll be a go to player on this Davies team this year. It’ll be interested what small sided games Karley has added to her offensive arsenal for this year.
Avery Lunde Avery Lunde 5'9" | SG Minot | 2024 State ND – Minot – (5’8/SG/2024) – Lunde for 3!! How many times have you heard that from the last couple of years? Avery comes back on an already stacked Minot squad after coming off a hot State Championship finish. A prolific shooter that keeps improving year after year and a player that I feel I’ve covered for the past 4 years even though it’s only been 2. Shooting isn’t the only way Lunde can hurt you as she’s proved to be a 3 level scorer as well. It’s going to be fun watching this tough Minot squad battle for another state championship this year with some veterans like Lunde leading the charge.
Hannah Litzinger Hannah Litzinger 5'9" | SG Grand Forks Red River | 2024 State ND – Grand Forks Red River – (5’9/SG/2024) – A shooting guard that rebounds like a forward, but scores exactly how a combo guard would. The best of both worlds is what Hannah is. She’s a true fighter on the defensive side both facing the perimeter and downlow. A guard that reminds me of Katie Smith the retired Seattle Storm guard that could defend 3 positions at a time it seemed like. Hannah outside of being a solid defender has an awesome jump shot, can create offensively and rarely has a miss step. It seems every move is with a purpose. Litzinger is a solid guard to watch as she has untapped potential and will surely make an amazing asset to any team at the next level.
Hailey Markel Hailey Markel 5'8" | SG Mandan | 2024 State ND – Mandan – (5’8/SG/2024) – Quick, aggressive and the desire to drive! Hailey has all the characteristic of a combo guard that can score at almost all 3 levels. She’s come a long way with her game as she’s struggled in the past with her left hand and finishing. Markel has a quick jab that creates separation and from there she likes to dissect the defense with her lateral mobility. She’s strong and knows how to attack the lane with a nice arsenal of guard/post moves that can put up serious numbers in a hurry. Not the flashiest player on this list, but an honest work horse that’ll improve your teams performance. Hailey will be an interesting dark horse to keep your eyes peeled on this year.
