Standing right around 5’9, Schissler has been a potent scoring threat around the paint and within the mid-range. She utilized post pivots to create space versus interior defenders, often going to the turnaround short fadeaway. The combo guard was more than capable attacking closeouts, where she was rarely sped up into forcing a bad jump shot. Although she attempted and made quite a few tough shots, Schissler’s footwork and comfort finding her spots showed she is adept making shots under pressure. Given how much gravity she possesses around the rim, I look forward to seeing her development as a passer in drive and kick situations. Schissler currently sits at 54th in the 2023 class and 19th among combo guards.
Maley Wilhelm Maley Wilhelm 5'8" | SG Legend | 2025 State CO – Legend – 2025
Wilhelm was especially efficient as a complementary scoring threat while continuing to take on greater responsibility as a ballhandler. The incoming sophomore guard makes a major impact as a shooter and driving threat. At roughly 5’7, Wilhelm proved to be a knockdown shooter off the catch, staying attentive as a floor spacer and off-ball mover. Within transition, Wilhelm was typically one of the first down the floor. Thanks to her combination of IQ and ball skills, she was a consistent driving threat with either hand. On the opposite end, Wilhelm stayed aggressive yet disciplined going for steals, picking up no less than two per game. Wilhelm will be a name worth monitoring throughout the season, given her efficient playstyle.
Maddison Neale – Ponderosa – 2024
Neale proved to be a pure shooter, given her ability to relocate for shots anywhere on the floor. Standing right around 5’10, the incoming junior point guard made waves at the event with her shooting gravity. Neale was dependable stepping into jumpers off the catch or pulling up for mid-range shots, should the defense play her too low. Within the open court, Neale utilized quick twitch crossovers as a means of freeing herself up on drives. Another key factor of her fullcourt decision making came from outlet passes, hitting multiple teammates with one handed dimes. Given her excellent shooting ability within the halfcourt, keeping tabs on her development as a halfcourt playmaker will be key for the junior point guard. Neale looks to bounce back this season, possessing high upside at the guard role.
Penley Park Penley Park 5'10" | CG Fort Collins | 2024 State CO – Fort Collins – 2024
Park will be a tough cover on both ends as a potent combo guard and lockdown defender. Standing right around 5’10, Park is a formidable opponent both one on one and as a help defender. She proved to be a key shot blocker versus both bigs and guards, never shying away from the contact. On the offensive side, Park could be deployed as a driving threat or spot up shooter. She proved to be a fair bit quicker than her opponents, getting to the rim with ease in one or two dribbles. Park currently sits as the 54th overall prospect in the 2024 class and 22nd among combo guards.
