#25 Emillia Steele Emillia Steele 5'11" | SF Colleyville Heritage | 2023 State TX 2023 5’11 Colleyville Heritage High School
Emillia is an aggressive player who does a little bit of everything to help her team find success every time they step on the court. She is a devoted rebounder, who fights hard on the glass, but also for positioning. She is good at high pointing the ball and making a good decision. Her ability to clear a defensive possession and then keep her head up to make the right outlet pass was very impressive, she also showed patience when being guarded closely after coming down with a board. She plays with heart and hustle, and uses that to attack every rebounding opportunity she had. She is not just an interior presence, she showed an ability to consistently knock down shots from the corners and space the floors well from the wings. Her catch and shoot ability is a real weapon for herself, and will definitely be a key point in her game at the next level, on top of her ability to all of the little things right!
#24
Abbie Boutillier 2023 6’9 Flower Mound High School
Abbie is a towering presence, standing at a full 6’9 who has a consistent touch around the rim, but also anywhere in the paint. She showed an ability to make tough runners and floaters and use her length to finish over the top of anyone. I was very impressed by how well she fought on the interior, and snatched rebounds before quickly going back up for easy second chance points. Her height is an elite weapon at the forward position, but her touch around the rim will really make her effective. I would like to see her continue to develop her overall foot speed and agility.
#23 Monica Marsh Monica Marsh 5'6" | CG Plano West | 2023 State TX 2023 5’6 Plano West High School
Monica is a high level shooter from all over the court, showing her versatility as a floor spacer and a knock down shooter every time she steps on the court. She knocks down shots from deep range along the corners, showed consistency from the corners, and is not afraid to put the ball on the floor and attack the rim. Her ability to be a complete offensive weapon is a joy to watch, and her versatility on this end allows her team to be much more successful by plugging her anywhere position 1-3. She is unselfish with the ball in her hands, and showed an ability to make crisp passes up the court to jump start the fast break and finding streaking teammates. Her ability to fire unique passes all over the floor stood out as well, showing good combo guard consistency.
#22 Kennedy Chappel Kennedy Chappel 5'8" | SG Dallas Christian | 2023 State TX 2023 5’8 Dallas Christian
Kennedy is a do-it-all guard who takes pride in locking you up defensively, but also scoring across all three levels off the bounce! She has really improved on the defensive end of the court over the last year, coming up with more steals, blocks and forcing turnovers every time she steps on the court due to her energy as well as the prowess she displayed as an on ball defender. Chappel has great touch from the mid-range, and loves getting into her floaters and pull up jumpers in the mid-range, constantly attacking space every time she steps on the court. She gets her shot off over anyone, knocking down three pointers with consistency, flying off of pin downs and coming to the ball, ready to shoot every time.
#21 Mackenzie Townsel Mackenzie Townsel 5'7" | PG Frisco | 2023 State TX 2023 5’7 Frisco High School
Mackenzie is the definition of a “three and D” threat with her ability to space the floor, hit threes every time she steps on the court and punish the defense with her quick release. I was very impressed by how quick her trigger was and how well she was able to hit shots, and take what the defense gave her every time down. If they ran at her hard and chased her off the line, she used a head fake and two dribbles to get to her spot in the mid-range. Where she was an elite weapon was on the defensive side, playing the passing lanes and poking the ball free as an on ball defender. I was very impressed by how many opportunities she was able to make off of her defensive energy and overall basketball IQ.
