This still goes on to this day, many times it has happened after school started so being 72 inches or taller almost assures players of next-level possibilities. With that being said, “The Magic Number” was born yet when you add other intangibles, I speak about long and athletic, playing the passing lane, diving for loose balls, players start to separate themselves and become more marketable. That’s enough of EVALUATING 101, different people may say otherwise and that’s fine, but remember, I’m always right
Logan just floored me over the club season, first of all, she lightened her hair and I was scratching my head at “how did I miss her” yet after looking at the roster, I yelled Kinsea! I did it again at the Southwest Showcase because she has added even more to just being “long and athletic” and scoring around the basket. She’s constantly alert, plays the passing lane, and is rebounding better but two big things, her attacking from everywhere and showing the pull-up jumper, even in transition had me smiling
Sanaa Bean
Bean is from home, that’s across the state line where I can’t visit countless parishes but nevertheless, she made the trip only to leave an even better second impression. I caught her a while back with a Louisiana club team and talked about her UPSIDE yet I’m digging her mindset going after rebounds. When you battle for everything, I drop #THROWBACK as it takes me back to another era. She is also long and athletic with good timing to block shots, she boxes out for rebounds and finishes strongly
Makenzi Golden
Golden has me thinking her upside is going to place her in a nice position. She looks to be around 6’3 and already has a college-ready frame. She moves well without the ball and rebounded strongly on both ends. I also loved her “power in the paint” and trust me, she’s going to be finishing with players literally hanging on her body. Let me also point out she has good timing on defense which enabled her to block and alter shots
Egbuna gets a double hashtag, #THROWBACK, and #BEAST and I can’t wait to catch her and Kinsea Logan Kinsea Logan 6'1" | C Mansfield Lakeridge | 2025 State TX at the Texas Invitational next month. When you talk about bringing JOY, it ain’t for the opposing team because she is becoming DOMINANT on the interior and actually is scoring with players hanging on her. Her ferocious rebounding, as well as strong interior defense, is something you can’t teach. Her ceiling has no roof which means there is no limit on what she will become
Jasmine Timmons
Timmons made a huge jump over the summer and is about to make another one in the high school season. She’s already one of the top posts in Houston, all classes included, and from what I’m seeing, she will send messages throughout the season. She’s strong and powerful, she finishes with either hand and her “hands and footwork” have also taken a jump. She is rebounding on both ends and running the floor, on both ends
