Highlights
The Uconn commit is one of the most talented players in the state, region, and country. There isn’t much she can’t do on the floor. Arnold has elite handles, can get to the basket whenever she wants and is an elite defender on the perimeter. If you haven’t seen her play before, I suggest making the trip to Germantown at least once before she heads to Storrs next year.
Grace Grocholski Grace Grocholski 5'10" | SF Kettle Moraine | 2023 State WI
Last season, Grocholski finished the year with one of the most dominant state title game performances ever. The future Mountaineer finished with 34 points and nine rebounds to lead the Lasers to their first state title in the 21st century. Grocholski can play as a forward on the block or as a guard on the perimeter.
Ayianna Johnson Ayianna Johnson 6'3" | C Jefferson | 2023 State WI
You won’t find many 6-foot-3 athletes like Johnson. The Jefferson native continued to excel on the AAU circuit with 1on1 Milwaukee. She impressed college coaches over the summer and will be Grocholski’s teammate at West Virginia. Morgantown is getting two of Wisconsin’s best prospects.
Avree Antony Avree Antony 5'10" | SG Sun Prarie | 2023 State WI
Highlights
To say, Antony, missing the AAU season due to injury was disappointing would be an understatement. She is one of the best pure athletes in the 2023 class and can make plays that some of the best kids can’t. Antony has the defensive upside coaches love, and I can’t wait to see her on the floor this season.
The Milwaukee Academy of Science can get to her shot whenever she wants. Waheed is one of the best creators in her class because of her ability to beat her initial defender off the dribble. She has the tools to be an excellent player at the next level.
Macy Donarski Macy Donarski 5'7" | PG Aquinas | 2023 State WI
Whenever you see the younger Donarski sister play, you watch a player who plays at 110% whenever she’s on the floor. She’s a ridiculous athlete that can make something out of nothing and will be an excellent defender at the next level.
Highlights
The Ike Lion is probably the most versatile prospect in this class. She can grab and go on the defensive boards, beat defenders off the dribble, shoot at a high level, play with her back to the basket, defends on the perimeter, and much more.
Meghan Schultz Meghan Schultz 6'4" | C New Berlin West | 2023 State WI
What I love about Schultz’s game is that she continues to add to her repertoire. As a 6-foot-4 center, she may never have to step out of the paint and do anything besides screen and roll. However, it says a lot about her that she’s trying to add a mid-range game. I’m eager to see how she plays at New Berlin West this year and at Green Bay for the next four.
Julianna Ouimette Julianna Ouimette 5'9" | CG Lakeland | 2023 State WI
The Minocqua native comes from an area where uber-talented kids usually don’t come from traditionally. She’s dominated in Northern Wisconsin and made strides over the past few years playing for Flight Elite. I don’t think there’s a more physically strong guard in her class. Kids bounce off of her.
MaKenzie Drout MaKenzie Drout 5'9" | CG Kimberly | 2023 State WI
When I watch Drout, it always amazes me how well she does with no space. She’s a tough shot maker and has a bit of a mean streak about her on the offensive end. Even in one of the live periods over the summer, she played on a hurt ankle and still managed to be one of the best players at the event, she’s a tough kid, and it’ll be cool to see her and Lexi Bugajski Lexi Bugajski 6'0" | PF New Berlin Eisenhower | 2023 State WI play together at the next level.
