We’ll dive a bit deeper into the context of what makes these athletes certified prospects to keep your eyes out for… After all they’re tall and noticeable enough to see in a crowd.
Nevaeh Tormaschy Nevaeh Tormaschy 6'2" | PF Dickinson Trinity | 2025 State ND – 6’1/PF/C – Dickinson Trinity – Nevaeh can get up and down the court with an advanced motor better than most players listed on this article. An athletic forward that can play high or low and actually utilizes a solid looking jump shot. With some minor tweaks to her consistency and needed improvement to her ball handling capabilities Tormaschy could be an all region player to watch out for in the given future. None the less at almost 6’2 she’s a brute to deal with in the post and a real game changer as she develops her game more.
Alayna Schmitt Alayna Schmitt 6'1" | C Richland | 2025 State ND – 6’1/C – Richland – Schmitt has a lot of potential that hasn’t even surfaced or metamorphized itself yet. A traditional back to the basket hooper that I could see benefiting from a dribble drive oriented offense, Alayna possesses a strong build and smooth technique when working around the block area. Working around a tough region 1 bracket she’ll have her work cutout for her in paving a way to be an elite post player that she has the model to be.
Adyson Hannig Adyson Hannig 6'0" | C Maple River | 2025 State ND – 6’0/C – Maple River – A strong body with athleticism. Adyson has the making of a NAIA post player with a lot of upside to her game. A pretty traditional back to the basket post, but has shown signs of transformation to her game. With some added versatility to her athletic build Hannig could be a solid all around post player. This season will be an interesting one for this talented athlete for sure.
Raegan Honeyman – 6’0/SF – Bowman County – Reagan is a surprise athlete with a lot of upside to her game. She’s long and rightfully athletic. Possesses good court awareness both offensively and defensively in the half court and reads passes like the Sunday paper. She’s explosive in the open court and can finish with either hand when attacking the rim. A prospect that is sure to have a breakout season. With an added jump shot and more mature handles Honeyman could be a dark horse pick for a solid 4 year program in the future.
Samantha Shereck Samantha Shereck 6'0" | C Kindred | 2025 State ND – 6’0/C – Kindred – Shereck is a prospect that got overshadowed a lot of last year by returning star and D2 commit Terryn Johnson. And rightfully so Terryn was a terror to deal with in the low post. Hopefully some of that toughness has rubbed off to Samantha having faced that in practice everyday and transformed her over this offseason into another 6’0 beast Kindred needs to repeat an undefeated state championship run. With an excellent coaching staff and basketball support Samantha is sure to grow even more with the Vikings this year. More minutes and exposure are certain for this prospect in the near future.
