– Etiwanda 2023
Smith continues to show why she is one of the premier bigs in her class. She has such a versatile skill-set on both ends of the court. Offensively she’s comfortable getting position in the paint and playing with her back to the basket, or making a move off the dribble and getting to the rim. Defensively, she has consistent range to the three-point line. Defensively she can pressure ball-handlers and protect the paint. Good rebounder.
2 Deyla Davis – Bishop Montgomery 2023
Davis is an explosive guard. She has solid handles and hits defenders with a nice little crossover. She’s very good off the dribble and does a good job getting to the rim. Can draw contact and get to the free-throw line. She’s comfortable getting separation and being able to shoot off the dribble.
3 Alondra Lizama – 2023
Lizama is a bit of a versatile forward. She can establish position in the paint and works well in the mid-post making quick moves to the basket. She can handle the ball on play on the perimeter. She uses her body well in the paint and can draw contact at the basket and get to the free-throw line. She can make strong moves off the dribble from the wing too. Has consistent range out to the three-point line. Can move without ball and crashes glass well.

– Mater Dei 2023
Vela is one of the most complete point guards in Southern California. Runs the offense and keeps the ball moving. She’s a pass-first point guard who does a good job finding the open teammate. Pushes the pace well in transition and keeps her head up on the break looking for the open player. Good three-point shooter off the catch with a quick release. Quick off the dribble and able to get to the basket as well.
