1.

I’ve watched Hackney play a couple of times now and what always stands out to me is her willingness to do all the little things. She’s a tough player, she gives it her all on the defensive end. She dives after loose balls and crashes the glass well. Good size for a wing. She can handle the ball on the break. Consistent shooter from three-point range off the catch. Also able to attack closeouts and get to the basket.
2. Devyn Kiernan – Mater Dei 2025
Kiernan stood out for her off the ball play. She moves well in the halfcourt and makes strong cuts to the basket. She has solid size for a wing. Good rebounder who can box out and hold her position. With the ball in her hands, she looks to make the right pass and keep the ball moving. On the defensive end, she’s solid on ball, contests shots well on the perimeter. I also saw her able to hold her position in the post against bigger players.
3. Naomi Panganiban – La Jolla Country Day 2024
The first time I saw Panganiban play, La Jolla was without a couple of their top players and she did very well running the team and acting as a lead guard. This time, those players were back and she did just as well fitting in around them. She makes good entry passes and looks for the open teammate in the halfcourt. She is quick off the dribble and can attack the defense. Gets into the paint and she can finish at the basket through traffic.

Mariah Brown

I’ve seen Brown play a couple of times now in the past month and she’s been one of the top point guards at several showcases. She’s very solid in transition, she pushes the pace and she can find the open teammate sprinting down court. Her handles are solid and she has a nice crossover that she uses to beat her defender off the dribble or to create separation and pull-up for a midrange jumper. Good on ball defender who uses her quickness.
