For us, it’s our favorite time of the year, alongside the AAU season, to watch the best high school prospects in the state to ball out. We’re looking at some all-conference watch list players throughout the state leading up to the season and our journey now takes us to the Colonial Conference.
Madison Clark Madison Clark SF Haddon Heights | 2023 State NJ – SF/PF, Haddon Heights (2023)
The leader of last season’s Haddon Heights team that did some magical things during the year and into the playoffs, she’s back and better than ever this season with a team that’s going to have a much less experience than last year. A senior-heavy team the season previous to now, a young roster, Clark will be the leader in the middle to help the Garnets go.
Sara Wiedeman Sara Wiedeman 5'4" | PG Haddon Township | 2023 State NJ – 5-4 PG/SG, Haddon Township (2023)
A smaller guard with plenty of range, Wiedeman will be running the point for the Hawks this season and should be much-improved from last year. The pressure will undoubtedly be on her, but pressure produces diamonds, and she’s a diamond in the rough, especially beyond the arc. We really like her range and production as a guard.
Riley Mulligan Riley Mulligan SG Haddonfield | 2023 State NJ – SG/PG, Haddonfield (2023)
Mulligan will be an interesting player to watch this coming season for Haddonfield, teamed up with Brynn Bickel Brynn Bickel PG Haddonfield | 2023 State NJ in the backcourt. We expect her to reprise her shooting guard role from last season, while being utilized more as a point guard at the same time. That should help out with maturity and leadership, something she’s already done well at.
Bridget Dickson Bridget Dickson PG Sterling | 2024 NJ – PG, Sterling (2024)
A fantastic season from the sophomore guard last year put her in a great position heading into this season, especially after the playoff performance she had in the spring. Dickson can shoot, but she’s been much more of a producer in the lane, working to get contact and get to the foul line just as much. Already a proven leader as an underclassman, Dickson has Sterling going in the right direction moving forward.
Isabella DeCaesar Isabella DeCaesar SG West Deptford | 2023 State NJ – SG, West Deptford (2023)
There were two guards we could have chosen from when looking at this season’s West Deptford roster, but we decided to go with the more productive shooter of the two in DeCaesar. Very impressive shooting stats last year and we expect those to rise as a senior. Her junior year was quite literally her first notable year of production with the Eagles, so a further breakout year is coming as a senior.
Alexis Davis Alexis Davis 6'0" | SF Woodbury | 2023 State NJ – 6-0 SG/SF, Woodbury (2023)
This is our preseason pick for Colonial Conference Player of the Year, but we’re most definitely not alone in that regard because Davis has been one of the most electric players in New Jersey as of recently. Putting up 27.3 PPG and 14.6 RPG averages last season, those are video game numbers, but there’s only a handful of players in the state who can do what she’s done.
Angelina Zagone Angelina Zagone 5'9" | SF Gateway | 2024 State NJ – SF, Gateway (2024)
There’s really only one thing to say after watching Zagone play and that’s wow. From a fantastic shooter to a great rebounder and elite shot-blocker, Zagone is one of the more complete players in South Jersey without a doubt. She missed out on a double-double average last season, but that shouldn’t happen this season.
Hannah Bryszewski Hannah Bryszewski PG Gloucester City | 2023 State NJ – PG, Gloucester City (2023)
Gloucester City might be losing Alexa Lee, but they’re in great hands for the next season with Bryszewski running the point. She was the leading three-point scorer on the team by quite the large margin last season, knocking down 39 in total, and along with that, she’s just as good of a scorer inside the perimeter. Both will be equally important, as well as being an excellent facilitator and leader this season.
Brookelyn Graham Brookelyn Graham SG Paulsboro | 2024 State NJ – PG/SG, Paulsboro (2024)
Graham will be that go-to player for Paulsboro this season after two impact seniors graduated in the spring. That should be no problem for one of the best shooters in the Colonial Conference last year. Graham is exactly the type of high-energy guard that Paulsboro can build around to compete amongst the best in the conference.
Ashley Flynn Ashley Flynn PG Audubon | 2025 NJ – PG, Audubon (2025)
The lone 2025 prospect that we have on this watch list, Flynn opened up the eyes of many during her freshman year, playing from the point for the Green Wave. To have that level of poise and composure as an underclassman is incredibly important, but is great for her that she can produce and manufacture points in a plethora of different ways.
