Addison is a great three and d players. She plays with high energy, and this morning was able to get her shot off over bigger defenders. On the day she made 8 three pointers. She was really shooting it well from three. She has a good defense stance and puts good pressure on ball handlers. She may not be the biggest player on the floor, but she does a good job creating separation from the defense. She is a crafty guard with a good skill set.
Highlights
Ella Getz
Ella Getz
Last year I coached against Ella. She was a tough matchup to stop with her ability to play inside and out. Today she showed her versatile skill set by scoring down low low, and by hitting shots from the outside. She is a Shooting Guard, with good length for the position. She used her length on defense to help her create turnovers and make it tough for the offense to shoot over her. One thing she could work on is just being more confident and communicating. She has the skills, she just needs to trust herself more. As she gets older, I think she will keep gaining confidence.
Sarah Powers
Sarah Powers
Sarah is another player I had to game plan for this winter. She was another tough match up that we played. She is a player who could lead a team in assists, or lead the team in scoring. She had a smooth shooting form, and a quick release. She is a tough defender. One thing she could work on is cutting off the baseline on defense. She communicates well, and is a player who will do well at the high school level.
Brooke is 6-0 Forward with good length for the position. She moves well for her size, and has a good touch around the rim. She has a variety of finishing moves in the paint, and she showed a few this morning. She is a creative passer from the low and high block. She is also a good defender down low and plays good defense in the post without fouling. She had few nice blocks this morning. One thing she could work on is offensive rebounding. Brooke has a strong upside to her game.
Natalie is a Guard with tight handles, who uses her handles to create separation for herself to shoot and knock down threes. She had good off ball movement and did a good job this morning setting good screens to free up her teammates. This morning she played with high energy on defense. She is an annoying get up in your face defender. She is a very positive player with her teammates on and off the court and communicates well. She may not be the biggest player on the floor, but that has only made her work harder on other areas of her game. She has to utilize her speed and her handles to get by bigger defenders. She can also be hard on herself at times, but that is only because she always want to do better.
Avery Tinkham
Avery Tinkham
Avery is a good shooter, a good passer, and plays aggressive on defense. She does a good job cutting off the angles on defense. One thing she could work on is rebounding in the paint. As she gets bigger she will improve her rebounding. She doesn’t turn the ball over much, and is a good decision maker. A lot of potential in Avery’s game.
