Standing right around 6′ tall, Chick brings physicality within the paint and upside as a versatile scoring threat. Showing promise as a ballhandler, Chick brings an intriguing blend of size and skill at the forward position. The incoming senior is a dependable downhill scoring threat going to the right hand, regardless of how much contact. One area of dominance resides in her roll game, where she makes physical screens and dives with speed to the rim. She also brings energy as a two-way rebounder, vying for rebounds all over the floor. Conintuing to increase the jump shot range will be a key factor in the senior forward’s development. This past season at Salida, Chick averaged 5.3 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game.
Allison Schwertner Allison Schwertner 6'3" | SF Mullen | 2024 State CO – Mullen – 2024
Schwertner brings an intriguing two-way skillset with room to grow as a secondary playmaker. Standing right around 6’3, the incoming junior combo forward played a key role for Mullen. With the departure of multiple seniors, Schwertner now stands as the team’s leading scorer, rebounder, and shot blocker returning from last season. She has shown prowess as a shooter coming off the catch, either from a standstill or while moving off the ball. Schwertner has also shown flashes as a shooter out beyond the three point line, through movement or off the catch. On the opposite end, the forward utilizes her size to deter at-rim attemmpts. She proved to be steady deterring shots around the rim or out on the perimeter versus smaller opponents. Continuing to utilize her driving abilities will be a key area for her offensive upside. Schwertner ranks 11th in the 2024 class and 5th among power forwards.
Grace Roscoe Grace Roscoe 6'2" | C Mountain Vista | 2024 State CO – Mountain Vista – 2024
Roscoe brings toughness at the center position, where she led Mountain Vista in rebounds and points per game. The incoming junior will play a key role as a low post intimidator and putback threat. Standing right around 6’2, Roscoe is all too physical to be bumped off the line from most frontcourt opponents. She is especially dependable scoring with the right hand, typically in one dribble off the initial pass. Within the fulllcourt, Roscoe was notable hustling into passing lanes, stealing away multiple outlet passes. Roscoe comes in as the 27th overall prospect in the 2024 class and 2nd among centers.
Malorie Byrne Malorie Byrne 6'1" | SF Arvada West | 2024 State CO – Arvada West – 2024
Byrne brings a two-way skillset at roughly 6’1, allowing her to match up with 3s and even 4s on the defensive end. The incoming junior forward showed upside as an interior defender, notably as a help side shot blocker. So much of rebounding is hustle, Byrne accentuated this skill and stayed poised to grab the ball with two hands. She boxed out opponents while being in position to either get the board or draw an over the back foul. On the offensive end, she shows intrigue as a complementary scorer off the catch. Byrne currently sits at 58th overall and 13th among small forwards.
