Gensert has a well rounded impact on the game, leaving no stone unturned. Standing roughly 5’10, the combo guard does well utilizing her height on drives. While getting downhill, Gensert has a deep toolbox of crafty layup finishes and high arcing floaters should defense close out hard. Another notable strength of hers comes from drive and kicks, where she utilizes her height to see above the defense for low risk passes. Without the ball, Gensert is capable spacing the floor and hitting threes off the catch, regardless of the contest. This past season at Centaurus, Gensert averaged 14.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.2 steals per game. The combo guard currently sits 30th in the 2023 class and 12th for her position.
Briasia Johnson Briasia Johnson 5'4" | CG Denver South | 2023 State CO – Denver South
Johnson has a diverse toolbox at her disposal while scoring around the rim. At roughly 5’8, the combo guard has a shifty live dribble package, proving to be a nightmare one on one. She utilized crossovers and euro steps to free herself up from opponents. One aspect that makes her ballhandling so vicious is that she can slow the pace and then explode once she finds an opening. Johnson has shown playmaking flashes when given a bit of space to survey the floor, however when she finds the angle she is more than capable zipping bullet passes through defenses. This past season at Denver South, Johnson averaged 10.1 points, 6 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 4.9 steals per game. Johnson sits 34th in the 2023 class and 14th among combo guards.
Charlotte Brennan Charlotte Brennan 5'6" | CG Mead | 2023 State CO – Mead
Brennan brings two way upside on the perimeter, notably making a large impact without needing the ball. Standing right around 5’6, Brennan will be a noteworthy name at Mead starting with her efficient playstyle. She does a lot on the offensive end within four dribbles, most often coming from threes off the catch and quick drives. She does well getting downhill off of curls, turning the corner quickly and scoring it around height. On the opposite end, Brennan is dependable attacking passing lanes, notably in the fullcourt. This past season, Brennan avearged 8.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists while contributing 55% of her two point attempts. Going into this saeson, Brennan sits at 38th in the class and 15th among combo guards.
Christine D’Epagnier Christine D’Epagnier 5'8" | CG Longmont | 2023 State CO – Longmont
D’Epagnier has a well rounded skillset on the offensive end, truly capable scoring under a wide variety of sets. The incoming senior combo guard showed upside as a downhill scoring threat, notably coming off of handoffs or curls. While getting downhill, she proved consistent taking contact and finishing with the right hand. Should no lanes be viable options, D’Epagnier has shown flashes of hitting jumpers off the catch. Defensively, the D’Epagnier is competitive securing loose balls, diving to the floor when needed. This past season at Longmont, the combo guard averaged 8.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2 steals per game. Coming into the season, she ranks 63rd in the 2023 class and 26th among combo guards.
