Ava Burgher Ava Burgher 5'9" | SG Brookfield East | 2024 WI
Playing on a team as talented as Brookfield East, it’s challenging to get on the floor, especially with the talent they’ll have in the backcourt this season. However, I think that Burgher has the length and athleticism to fit in on the defensive end of the floor. The way she plays on that end will determine how much she plays next season, but she can bring an element on the offensive end that the Spartans didn’t have last year, a floor spacer. Now, the Spartans had kids who could shoot, but I think Burgher is suited to space out the floor for some of their other guards who like getting to the basket. She can bring some balance to this team offensively.
Abby Jossie Abby Jossie 5'11" | SF Stevens Point | 2024 WI
The Stevens Point native is a tall guard who can guard multiple positions. There is room for Jossie to excel at Point this year with her ability to create and shoot. Her versatility is valuable, and I’d think that it would shine through this season at Point after other talented kids graduated last spring, but I expect her to be at her best later in the season.

After losing one of the best shooters on the team last season, Kamy Peppler, Hortonville has to fill that role, and Funk is a logical option. I see her as a two-guard who excels as a spot-up shooter but calling her a spot-up shooter sells her offensive game short. Funk is an excellent cutter and does an excellent job creating passing lanes to find her teammates, especially in transition. She could punish teams who want to help early on kids, like Trinity Mocadlo Trinity Mocadlo 5'8" | PG Hortonville | 2023 State WI and Rainey Welson Rainey Welson 5'9" | CG Hortonville | 2025 State WI , when they attack the basket.
Rachel Agg Rachel Agg 6'0" | SF Muskego | 2025 State WI
Highlights
Muskego has some talented underclassmen, especially in the sophomore class, and they could lean on them this season. Not many teams have a 6-foot wing who can shoot and attack off the dribble as Agg can. Her role could be to use her length to bother wings defensively and punish teams on the weak side with her shot or attack the basket on rotating defenses, but she’ll cause teams problems this season.
