Danika Ballard Danika Ballard 5'10" | SG Boone | 2024 State FL CG 2024 5’9″ Boone/Bluestar Orlando
Ballard is a very aggressive player that plays with a high level of energy and enthusiasm for the game. She is a seasoned player that has played for a long time. A long defender that gets a ton of blocks and deflections, reading the defense and getting in the passing lanes. On the other side of the ball, she can hit the outside jump shot along with taking the ball to the basket. A good rebounder that uses her length and size to get into the right position. She has been a starter on varsity since she was a freshman for the Boone Brave out of Orlando and I look forward to her having much success for her Junior season.
Karishma Ortiz Karishma Ortiz 5'9" | PG Timber Creek | 2024 State FL SG 2024 5’8″ Timber Creek/BlueStar Orlando
This kid plays like a point forward. Another long 2024 that uses her size to rebound well and get into the correct position. Ortiz sees the floor very well, making very nice on target and timely passes to her teammates. She plays the right way, not very flashy, just plays under control and smooth using fundamentals. During the event she was making the right decisions, either passing it for a better shot, or taking the shot herself. Another Orlando area kid, I plan to watch throughout this upcoming season.
Nina Green Nina Green 5'6" | PG Wharton | 2024 State FL PG 2024 5’6″ Brooks Debartlo/Tampa Thunder
Green, the Tampa native came to ENG with a purpose, to showcase her talent. A smooth Point Guard that controls the tempo in the half court set and in transition. She can get to the rack and finish with a consistently. She was player of the game in game 4, on court 1. The 5’6″ guard plays tenacious defense, getting deflections, by putting pressure on the ball handler.
Hailey Collins PF 2024 6’1″ Saint Cloud/Bluestar Orlando
The Junior post from Saint Cloud, had a great showcase. She was getting into position, blocking shots, affecting the offense to settle for outside jumpers. Collins has a soft touch around the basket, putting the offensive rebounds back in and showing an ability to knock down the 8-10 foot jumpers. I look forward to watching her play for the Bulldogs this upcoming season.
Rhael Sayers Rhael Sayers SF Coral Springs | 2024 State FL PF 2024 6’0″ Coral Springs HS
Sayers was getting to the basket throughout the event. Showcasing her ability to slip through the defenders to finish at the cup with either hand in a wide variety of ways. A very tough defender that has a real understanding of the game. She plays with a high energy level and a passion.
