Ellie McDermid Ellie McDermid 6'2" | C Bay Port | 2024 State WI
Highlights
There are only a handful of kids with the size and athleticism that McDermid possesses. That alone will, and has, earned her looks from coaches at the next level. However, I think there may be much more to her game than being a 6-foot-2 athlete who can play under the basket. I believe that there is a chance that her jumper is better than she’s shown. It looks simple, and she lets it go over her head. I don’t think she’ll have to shoot from the perimeter much, but she can do that.
Highlights
The DSHA product is a unique forward in the 2025 class. Most of the time, kids her size are placed on the block and told to seal, make a move, and shoot over their left shoulder. Trotter is much more than that. Trotter can attack off the dribble, shoot from the perimeter, and attack the boards on both ends of the floor. I think she has a chance to carve out a significant role for the Dashers this season.
Raegan Krueger Raegan Krueger 6'1" | PF Kimberly | 2025 State WI
Highlights
Yet another versatile forward, Krueger has a chance to carve out a role at a historically good program in Kimberly. The Papermaker can screen, shoot, and play with her back to the basket. That versatility could help more established players like MaKenzie Drout MaKenzie Drout 5'9" | CG Kimberly | 2023 State WI to manipulate defenses and create effortless scoring opportunities. Krueger is a challenge to defend, and she could help the Papermakers create limitless mismatches this season.
Ava Brandenburg Ava Brandenburg 5'10" | CG Evansville | 2024 State WI
Highlights
There aren’t many more versatile players in the state in the 2024 class. Brandenburg can feasibly play one through five at the WIAA D3 level and excel in every one of those spots. She can handle the ball, shoot from everywhere on the floor, physically battle some forwards, and defend every position. Evansville hasn’t been competitive the past few seasons, but that could change this season. Don’t be surprised if that group makes some noise in the Rock Valley this season. They have a physically strong group at every position and can inflict some punishment in the postseason. Brandenburg’s name will probably be much more recognizable once this season concludes.
