High School Preview: NH Bigs Who should be on your Radar

As we continue to preview the up coming high school season, here we look at 5 bigs in New Hampshire who should be on your radar. Jac Doucette High School Philips Exeter, Class 2023, Position PF Jac is a versatile stretch forward. She can stretch the floor by knocking down three pointers, and also attacking from the wing off the dribble. She even has showed her ball handling skills by pushing the ball up the floor in transition. She has active hands on defense and is able to force turnovers leading to offense. She has a good mix of an inside and out game. She has good positioning when boxing out and is aggressive on the boards. Last season she had a double double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Sofia Payne, High School Concord, Position PF, Class 2024 Sofia is a strong built power forward. She moves well for her size and has a soft touch around the rim. She is a paint protector, and rebounds the ball well. She is active on defense, and plays good defense without fouling. Look out for Sofia this coming season. She is a strong built paint protector, who has good finishing skills around the rim. She goes up strong and can finish through contact. She is strong on the rebounds and often gets second chance points. Cate is one of the top bigs in her class in New Hampshire, and she has a 1 division level skill set. Cate gets it done on both sides of the floor. She can be a slasher on the wing, and also score down low. She can run the floor, and has good length to match her skill Set. I see lots of upside in Ellie's game, and I think she could take a big jump in her junior season. [player_tooltip player_id='361079' first='Lana' last='McCarthy'], High School Bedofrs, Class 2024, Position PF/C When thinking of bigs on my radar in New Hampshire Lana definitely comes to mind. She is a 6-4 strong post player, and a force down low. She is a player that you must double in the post, or she will beat you in a one on one matchup. Most teams just don't have the size to match up with her. When Lana is double teamed, she does a good job not forcing a shot up, and finding the open teammate. She has the skill set to play at the division 1 level, and should have a big junior season.
