Some of the best teams in the state, as well as Canada, showed up to see how much growth happened in the off season. While there was a lot of early mistakes and uncertainties, there were some amazing performances, both team and individual.
The senior stepped into a point guard role and showed great leadership. She played great team and individual defense, especially since she took the other team’s best player. I love watching kids that love defense.

I watched her last year and thought that she was a decent player; umm, she is a little more than decent now. She is lights out from catch and shoot and possesses one of the quickest releases I’ve seen. She is smart, defends well, passes well- really isn’t anything that she didn’t do well.
Charolette is a do everything guard that makes plays on both ends of the floor. She showed nice range on her jumper and was very active in off ball situations. She is part of a really good guard group that is going to give people fits.
Highlights
I’m going to give a shout out to a kid that is tough as nails. I was standing about five feet away when her head was smashed into the floor. Ten minutes later, she was back out battling one of the most physical teams in the state.
Tough guard that is relentless on defense and punishing on drives. She gets to where she wants to be and finishes through contact.

Reese is known more for her volleyball prowess, but she is an athlete that excels in every sport. She showcased great court awareness and feel for the game. She moves the ball to the right spots and is a great leader. Kid made some really nice plays against stiff competition.
Physical, punishing guard that obliterates contact. Rhema tends to not get enough calls because she is so strong, but we see it kid. She is a menace in passing lanes.

There were multiple Canadian teams in attendance; unfortunately, we don’t cover Canada. Still, I have to give a shout out to at least one player from the Maple Leaf. She shows a guard skill set despite pushing six feet tall. She is a well spoken, polite kid that was fun to watch.
