Tayah Christopher Tayah Christopher 5'11" | CG Altoona | 2023 State WI
The Altoona guard is a 5-foot-11 point guard who can do just about everything on the floor. Her one hiccup is her shooting, but with her size and ball handling, it almost doesn’t matter. If defenses decide they want to give Christopher room on the perimeter, she’ll use it as a runway to get to the basket because few people have the physical tools to keep her out of the paint. Since she’s a point guard, when teams help to keep her out of the painted area, she’ll pass for an open 3-pointer.
City Figlinski City Figlinski 5'9" Appleton West | 2023 WI
Playing in the FVA is no joke and succeeding in that conference isn’t easy. Figlinski is an off-ball guard who can play on the ball in a pinch. Her shooting can change the complexion of games in a heartbeat. When I look for the one thing that a kid can do to get onto the floor at the next level, for her, it’s spacing the floor. If she plays with a ball-dominant kid who scores in bunches, Figlinski can punish defenses that help too much, and she already does that at Appleton West.
As far as under-the-radar kids go, Fogle is one of the top guards left on the board. She is a smooth guard who moves like the athlete that she is. Fogle can create her shot on the perimeter. I love how she can routinely beat her initial defender off the dribble. Her ability to take matters into her own hands makes her an intriguing kid because she’s used to doing it already. I haven’t even talked about how well she can sit down and defend on the perimeter. She’s a well-rounded kid.
Morgan Adams Morgan Adams 5'10" | PF Kewaskum | 2023 State WI
The Kewaskum forward is a versatile 6-foot defender who can switch onto most positions. Adams has the athleticism to move her feet on the perimeter and use her length to bother some posts. I think she has a path to get onto the floor early at the next level because she can defend and screen on the offensive end. There is plenty of skill in her game, and I believe coaches will fall in love with her quickly once she gets on campus.
