Sophia Sabus Sophia Sabus 5'11" | CG Ralston Valley | 2024 State CO – Ralston Valley
Sabus has shown potential as a volume shooter along with room to grow as a scorer inside the arc. Standing right around 5’11, Sabus has put up 12.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 2 steals. She has continued to get more confident taking contested shots behind the arc, especially off the catch. She does well leveraging her gravity to create open driving lanes, where she is dependable scoring with either hand. Sabus has contributed 37% of Ralston Valley’s 154 made threes, a testament to her volume.
Alexis Baker Alexis Baker 5'7" | CG ThunderRidge | 2024 State CO – ThunderRidge
Baker has shown great poise within the fullcourt, continually pushing the pace on the break. She brings a well rounded skillset that has proven advantageous when surrounded by shooting threats. At 5’7, the combo guard averaged 8.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. Baker has shown time and time again that she is capable breaking the press regardless of the opponent, consistently keeping her eyes up for passing opportunities. The guard benefits from off-ball movement, should she get looks inside. If a teammate cuts off the ball or relocates on the weak side, Baker will find them. The connection between forward Ben Kayser-Cochran and Baker will be incredibly valuable for this group due to the inside out game from Baker’s kick out passing. Continuing to develop her interior finishing efficiency will play a key role in Baker’s primary creation. The junior has received on offer at the collegiate level from CSU Pueblo.
Emma Cox Emma Cox 6'0" | PF Flatirons Academy | 2024 State CO – Flatirons Academy
Cox will be a key defensive prospect for Flatirons Academy, boasting notable size at 6′ tall. The incoming junior forward has made noise this past season, posting 16.8 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 3.9 steals per game. First of all, Cox allows no easy rebounds on the defensive end, prioritizing box outs and finding a body no matter what. As well, Cox stays assertive fronting the post and deflecting any inbound passes. Since this group forces a staggering 17.8 steals per game, they look to push the pace more often than not. The power forward still has room to grow on offense, contributing 40% of her 60 three point attempts last season.
Savannah Pohl Savannah Pohl 6'0" | SF Longmont | 2024 State CO – Longmont
Pohl will be a potent interior defender while showing room to grow as a play finisher. The junior small forward truly plays with pride on the defensive end, whether that be blocking shots or attacking passing lanes for steals. The 5’10 forward averaged 12.2 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.9 stocks per game. Pohl has shown improvements as a mid-range shooter out of face-ups, the next step will be expanding her range to the three point line. Pohl’s defensive versatility will be a key for this group, who looks to regain their footing in the local standings.
