Continue ReadingUp from No. 107: Kalisha holds major value with her length, motor and athleticism. Phillips is a multidimensional defender that can guard on the perimeter and block shots inside. She averaged 10.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 2.5 steals and 1.8 blocks as a junior. Kalisha scores most of her points in the paint, effective on the glass and able to take opponents off the dribble from the high post. If she can continue to expand her range, it will raise her offensive ceiling.
Up from No. 108: D-III schools and NAIA programs should be tracking Clara Morris Clara Morris 5’7″ | SG South Forsyth | 2023 State GA closely. She’s a high IQ hustler that can light it up from beyond the arc. Morris gets after it defensively in the press and is a better on-ball defender than she gets credit for. Clara averaged 12.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 2.4 steals as a junior.
Up from No. 153: After leading Redan in scoring at 15.3 points per game while nailing 79 threes, Daniels has transferred over to Brookwood where she will see an uptick in competition and likely more open threes playing alongside Diana Collins Diana Collins 5’9″ | PG Brookwood Highschool | 2023 State #24 Nation GA and Jade Weathersby Jade Weathersby 6’3″ | PF Brookwood | 2023 State GA .
Up from No. 142: The Colby College-signee has great length inside. She has a soft touch around the rim, able to score out to 15 feet. When Simms plays with confidence, she is at her best. Over the course of her career, she has flashed nice footwork with her back to the basket.
Highlights
Up from No. 130: Maggie is a true pass-first point guard that provides infectious energy. She’s always around the ball on defense, using her quick hands to poke away steals. On offense, Maggie is fundamentally sound. She will jump stop to play off two feet and loves to deliver on the money bounce passes to streaking teammates. Thompson averaged 7.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 4.2 steals a season ago. The stat sheet stuffer should be a target for small schools.
Up from No. 149: NAIA schools are after Dotson, who averaged 17 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.6 steals per game. Dotson is a dangerous three-point shooter who is improving as a playmaker.
