Westhope/Newburg – Not just one player, but 2. Kimberly Tabarez Kimberly Tabarez 5'4" | PG Westhope/Newburg | 2024 State ND and Ellie Braaten Ellie Braaten 5'3" | PG Westhope-Newburg | 2023 State ND are both averaging 21 points a game and willing the Sioux to a perfect 6-0 record so far with a solid win over a tough Bishop Ryan team. Tabarez is shooting 51 percent from the field while Braaten sits at 43. Both these players are dynamic forces and provide a tough front court to go against. To boast Braatens profile she’s also averaging 7.8 assists 9.8 rebounds and 7.8 steals. A near quadruple double for this monster of a player.
Natalie Decoteau Natalie Decoteau 5'10" | SG St. John | 2023 State ND – The dynamic 3 guard who can play forward is having another solid year. A player that has been covered numerous times before is averaging 16.8 points, 8.6 rebounds and 5.4 steals currently. Natalie recently went on the black board having committed to lake region state next season.
Laikyn Roney Laikyn Roney 5'10" | SF Oakes | 2023 State ND – The Oakes senior is no stranger to big games. This Tornado squad this year looks even more impressive than last year. Long, aggressive and hungry. With a near upset against the defending undefeated state champs Kindred this Oakes squad is something to be feared. Roney the returning leader is currently averaging 15.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.7 steals a game. In the game against Kindred she had 21 points, 12 rebounds and 6 steals.
Karleigh Kadoun – A freshman from Sargent County is having an impressive start to her high school career. Currently leading the Bulldogs to a perfect 3-0 start, Kadoun is averaging 13.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals a game. This is a talented forward with a lot of upside for being a freshman. Not a traditional shooter, but a player that’s aggressive in digging in the post and with her size at 5’10 already she has plenty of room to grow on this hungry Bulldog squad.
