This year’s classic took place at Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, Arizona. The six teams featured were Millennium, Salpointe Catholic, Perry, Mater Dei(CA), Sandra Day O Connor, and Chaparral. These are the top performers from yesterday’s games.
2024 G Elli Guiney Elli Guiney 5'9" | CG Millennium | 2024 State AZ (Millennium): Elli Guiney Elli Guiney 5'9" | CG Millennium | 2024 State AZ proved why she is one of the top guards in the country last night. She finished the game with 19pts, 11rbs, and 4asts. Guiney is the definition of a gamer. When the lights come on, she shows out. Offensively, Guiney can do just about everything from the point guard position. She can hit shots from deep, weave her way through traffic and finish in the lane, and has the vision to find her teammates for open shots. She isn’t necessarily the fastest player on the court, but the way she is able to play at her own pace makes her game dominate. Defensively, she can keep up with the best of the best by playing physical and smart. She also rebounds exceptionally well for being only 5’10. Guiney currently holds offers from numerous mid-major college programs including: Princeton, Navy, Southern Utah, UNLV, Idaho and Eastern Michigan.
Bella Barrett Bella Barrett 5'11" | SF Millennium | 2023 State AZ (Millennium): The University of California-Santa Barbara commit finished the night with an efficient 11Pts and 7Rbs in a 52-45 win over Salpointe Catholic. Throughout the night, Barrett was battling down low with top 2025 Prospects Taliyah Henderson Taliyah Henderson 6'1" | SF Salpointe Catholic | 2025 State AZ and Hannah Williams Hannah Williams 6'1" | PF Salpointe Catholic | 2025 State AZ . Barrett did a really good job of dominating the paint on the defensive end of the floor and helped hold the Salpointe Catholic stars to a combined 15pts. Barrett is the perfect stretch-four player as she can play on the inside and knock down shots from the perimeter. UCSB is getting a good one.
2025 Hannah Williams Hannah Williams 6'1" | PF Salpointe Catholic | 2025 State AZ (Salpointe Catholic): Williams is a name to watch for over the next few years. Williams finished the night with 10pts and 8rbs against a very good Millennium team. Williams showed the ability to score in the paint as well as knock down shots in the midrange. Defensively, Williams is physical and a ball hawk. She fights for position for rebounds and soars over smaller defenders in order to get them. Going up against 2023 UCSB commit Isa Bella Barrett Bella Barrett 5'11" | SF Millennium | 2023 State AZ , Williams was able to hold her own on both sides of the floor. Williams is a top post talent in the class of 2025.
2023 Khamil Pierre Khamil Pierre 6'2" | PF Perry | 2023 State AZ (Perry): Pierre was the top performer of the night finishing with 30 Points in a 82-69 loss to Mater Dei. 20 of those 30 points came in the 2nd half. Pierre was able to show-off her versatility on the offensive end of the floor by being able to hit shots from the perimeter as well as dominate inside. Offensively, Pierre is as good as they come. Being strong, athletic, and skilled makes her near impossible to guard at the high school level. Defensively, Pierre is strong and smart. She walls-up against bigger opponents and make life difficult in the post for opposing players. Pierre is committed to Vanderbilt University.
2023 Caia Elisaldez Caia Elisaldez 5'5" | PG Mater Dei HS | 2023 State CA (Mater Dei): Elisaldez had herself a night finishing with 19pts and 5 steals. Elisaldez is as electric as it comes at the guard position and is lightening-quick. Offensively, she is going to break her defender down and either finish at the rim or find an open teammate for an easy bucket. She also showcased the ability to knock down shots from the perimeter. Defensively, she is as good as they come and will torment opposing guards by picking them up the length of the court. Elisaldez has quick hands that allows her to poke the ball loose from opponents resulting in steals and easy transition baskets for her team. Elisaldez is committed to Division-1 program Chattanooga.
2024 Jenessa Cotton Jenessa Cotton 6'2" | SF Mater Dei | 2024 State CA (Mater Dei): Cotton finished with 21 Points and 8rbs in a win over Perry. Cotton played outstanding all night going up against Vanderbilt Commit Khamil Pierre Khamil Pierre 6'2" | PF Perry | 2023 State AZ . Cotton got off to a hot start and scored 10 of her 21 points in the first quarter. Offensively, Cotton thrives in the paint. She is dominate downlow and if she gets the ball on the block, she is going to score. Defensively, she is a rim-protector. At 6-2 she is able to alter opponents shots as well as rebound at a very high level. Cotton was recently offered by Division-1 Pac12 member California-Berkeley.
2025 Addison Deal Addison Deal 5'10" | CG Mater Dei | 2025 State CA (Mater Dei): Deal finished the night one rebound shy of a double. She ended the night with a very quiet 15pts and 9rbs. For a sophomore on a team loaded with division-1 talent, Deal looked experienced and poised for the big stage. Offensively, Deal is smooth as it comes with the ball in her hands and is always looking to make the right play for her team. On the defensive end of the ball she is smart and physical. When the opposing team puts a shot up she is ball-hawking for the rebound. Deal is a divison-1 prospect with a very high ceiling.
2023 Mak Snyder Mak Snyder 5'7" | SG Sandra Day | 2023 State AZ (Sandra Day OC): Snyder finished the night with 17pts, 4asts, and 2rbs in a 49-28 win over Chaparral. Snyder is a well-rounded guard in the class of 2023. Offensively, she is a lights-out shooter from the perimeter and is an exceptional floor general as well. She is a player that is always going to make the right play for her team. Defensively, Snyder is a competitor and won’t back down from a challenge. Snyder is currently uncommitted.
